I started shooting 700 yards at a State facility that is pretty basic. Most people shoot prone since there's no tables, but I'm older and couldn't get into an effective prone position anymore. A buddy I shoot with spent $600 on a tripod and I was using an old camera tripod, but without a ball mount, it was pretty unstable. The athlon Midas is a great tripod for the price! It is stable, lightweight, and easy to use. I would recommend it to anyone wanting a ball head tripod without breaking the bank!

Bought this to use with an Athlon scope, and glad I did. Great stand, light, strong, and well built. Nothing to assemble out of the box. Easily accepts spotting scope.
