Excellent optics for your AR-10 / AR-15 (Vortex, Sears 'Craftsman' like warranty service)
I really like companies like Athlon and Vortex. Both put out american designed / internationally sourced scopes, but both have American service employees to handle all claims and quickly get you anything you need resolved.
Anyway, about the scope. Very nice quality, excellent coatings / glass, re...

Still testing out the reliability
Im Still testing out this scope. I am concerned about the ability to hold Zero. I am rough on my rifles, hiking long distances to hunt. This scope has lost POI twice during the past year. I plan on using it during the summer to control the local wild hog population and get a better judge of the abil...

Great scope, especially for the money
This is my first Athelon scope. I have been very impressed with the quality and ease of operation of this optic. I especially enjoy the lighted crosshairs. I have not had the scope very long, but anticipate a good product life. A friend has used Avalon scopes on a number of rifles and is extremely satisfied.

Tracks Precisely
I bought this exact model about 5 months ago and put it on an AR 15 in 17hmr for ground squirrel and rabbit shooting. It’s #1 feature is that the turrets track dead on. Very precise. You click 1/4”, the bullet shifts 1/4”, every time. It’s a 40mm lens, so not the brightest, but decent. But it’s super precise. The turrets have a sharp click you can hear and feel in your fingers. I liked it so much I bought a 2nd one. I own 4 Athlon scopes total, and will keep buying this brand. You can’t beat the precision turrets for the price, and the glass is decent at this price point.
Pros:
- Precise repeatable turrets
Cons:
- Glass decent for40mm, not the brightest I have used
Would recommend: Yes
So far so good
The glass is clear and the target illumination is really cool. The scope appears to hold its POI well. This review is necessarily preliminary and will be updated after some field use.
Pros:
- Price and warranty
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- Hunt

Excellent scope for the money
I have 4 of these scopes. 2 lighted and 2 non lighted. Have them on my 22 mag, 223 bolt action, 6.5 creedmore bolt action and a 308 bolt action. If you want to really dial a rifle in from 50 yards to 250 yards this scope can't be beat. I'm an older shooter with not the best eyes anymore. This scope makes it easy to put lead on target every time. Had many more expensive scopes in my life. This is my scope of choice.

Pros:
- Clear glass great price
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:

Seems pretty good
So far I love the clarity. I would 100% put it against my similarly sized primary arms and Vortex scopes. Looks to be well built, however I have not yet had the opportunity to put many rounds down range with my 243 AR10

Seems pretty good
Seems to be well made, I would definitely put it up against my "other brand" 3-18x44, and it was 1/3 of the price. Very clear, mounted on an AR10 in 243 Win. Ill probably be getting one for my 6.5 Grendel AK before long.

Super Nice Scope.
I have been trying scopes, trying to find a nice 250yard, sharp shooter for my AR-15 with 1/7 twist 16” barrel 5.56 cal. I didn’t want a 50” scope on top of my AR & I refuse to spend more on my optics than I do my guns and so it’s been a challenge. This scope offers so much for the price point. I haven’t been to the range yet so more on that later. So far, Glass is clear, all controls work, however the illumination switch is quite choppy. I like resistance on my dials so they stay put, tolerances are tight and smooth (except for the reticle light dial). The Talos is a handsome looking scope and deserves better than a bikini cover, but if Athelon spent a few $ more making sure I have crystal clear, reliable glass at any time of day-any temperature- and it appears they have- I will look the other way on the covers. If the illumination switch doesn’t get any worse Ill let it slide too, but Athelon warranty will take care of it whenever I decide I’m ready. Overall a fantastic value,
