Most Helpful Positive Review Excellent thermal monocular
Really helpful device on the hunt. This monocular allows me to detect my target for near 500 yards, and I have a lot of time to prepare for the best shot. The coolest thing is that this monocular can be helmet mounted. The resolution is great!!! Recommend it!

worth the money

I did some research on the different thermal monoculars out there before I decided on this one. I like how there isn’t an internal battery. This one and the Odin LTs all run off CR123a batteries or you can spend $80 and get a rechargeable external battery which I recommend. It’s simple to use and has a decent resolution. I had no problem seeing thermal signatures a couple hundred yards away. I was impressed that it picked up on honey bees 30 feet away. The zoom is kinda joke but overall it’s a good thermal in my opinion. According to ATNs website the thermal is made here. I got mine for under $1400. I highly recommend the rechargeable battery since it can run for up to 5 hours and only 2 hours on a CR123a.
Pros:
  • compact
  • easy to use
  • external battery
Cons:
  • zoom

Five Stars

Great product. I had some doubts, but after using the device for a few days, it has exceeded my expectations. Works great, I can detect the coyotes for a range of more than 150 yards. It’s easy to use and keeps a charge for about 3 to 4 hours. The abilities of wearing this unit on the helmet is a pleasant bonus

For the money, this is a great tool

by Salvador Brooks, from NE, United States Written on May 29, 2023
I have been looking for a thermal which can be mounted on the helmet for a long period of time. Unit seems durable and well made. The clarity is ok and I’m able to spot things at a decent range. For a thermal monocular at this price point, this thing really exceeded all my expectations.

Cant do wht it claims.

With an open bean filed off my back porch, ranged at 148 yards to the wood line, there is little ability to differentiate between a deer or coyote. The picture is, at best, unclear. The ranges quoted for this Monocular are highly exaggerated. Similar items half the price are probably just as clear. At 30-50 yards, it is good, but so is your standard night vision. I was warned that ATN commercial products were sub-par, and now I am stuck with it. This is not my first ATN product but it is the last.
Pros:
  • None
Cons:
  • Exagerated distances, not even half the claims.
Best Used for:
  • looking for your dog in an open yard. (not a filed over 50 yards).
