I’ll start by saying that I do not consider myself to be technically savvy or an expert in digital/technological devices. That said, this is the worst $700 I have ever spent (and I purchased the google glass and Windows Vista, so this is saying something) I bought the scope and then found out that it requires an SD card (why not charge an extra $10 and include the card). Once I got the recommended card, I tried to download the software for the scope. after downloading the the file, the NV still didn’t work. Tried 5 more times to no avail. Bought another SD card and tried 5 more times. I then spent an additional $68 on a more powerful NV light than what came with the scope. No dice. Still can see better w/o the scope than with after dark. I plan to call ATN customer service this week, but if this this $700 scope is not working by the weekend, I will set it on a 5lb pile of tannerite and blow it to smitherines, post the video on YouTube and I will not buy another ATN product for the rest of my days and on this earth. Maybe the next gen works better, but I feel bent ove a barrel for buying the x-sight HD. #ATNsucksthetailpipe

For the price this unit will give you the best bang for your buck. In the open field in toatal darkness no ambian residual light you can identify your target from about 250 yards and in. Add a little moon light 3 to 400 yards. Add residual urban light probably even further. The x sight2 has more gadgets than youll know what to do with. I think the best one is its a day and nite scope. Second best recoil activated video. Third fav. Wifi. Fourth is the multiple profiles for multiple wepons. And It has a ballistic calculator, blue tooth and much much more. Your not going to find a scope that does everything the x2 does for what the x2 costs. I only wish i had more time to hunt. Its a young company. I cant wait to see them grow and what it will do next.

I purchased the ATN 3X14 and the night vision monocular last year, and am very pleased with this product and have used them several times and would probably purchase other ATN products in the future. I would recommend this to anyone that is looking for night vision equipment it is a great product for the price.

For the last twelve months I have been really wanting to spend some money on a thermal scope, but decided to spend far less on just night vision (for now) scope. I am still getting used to adjusting it, but so far it is really nice. I got it for a steal at a Field and Stream store for about $425. Brand new, out of the box. The only downside is that I have to download the instructions/guide- but it did come with a really sweet green bag. I am impressed and am just waiting for the price of the thermals to come down over the next few years. Looking forward to sighting it in at the range.

This scope is amazing for the price. I purchased mine a year ago and I JUST LOVE THIS SCOPE. It works just as good as the website states. With their new light, you can see out to 200 yards no problem. I love the features which include, day/night mode, wifi, one-shot zero, and tons more. This device can integrate with your phone and the phone user can see everything the hunter sees in REAL TIME. It is truely AMAZING.
I would recommend this scope to anyone wanting to get into the night hunting scene.
Cons:
- little heavy
- Uses batteries up quickly
Best Used for:
- Hog Hunting
- Night Predator Hunting

I have had this scope for over a year. It has been discontinued for good reason. It never worked. First, it ate batteries in an hour. It has no provision for external power except a USB hub that exposes other ports to the elements.
It makes any weapon feel top heavy. The scope was released before its time. The software was still catching up when ATN discontinued it.
AND, the first time I used it on a .308 it quit and had to be reset because the batteries vibrated and shut off the scopt. ATN Customer service was great and sent a new cap. By then I had bought a huge external power pack, so the internal batteries were not a consideration.
If one wants to mount the rifle on a tripod in a static emplacement and hook it up to an external power pack that might work.
I keep hoping ATN will take mine in trade for the new version.

Wasn't sure what to expect but I was blown away. At twice the price, this X-Sight would still be a great value in my opinion when you consider what you are getting...features, ability to record, ease of use...etc. Only negative is the IR lite that comes with the sight, but for shorter ranges it works well enough. I planned on buying a igher end IR lite anyway, so not a big deal or deal breaker for that matter.

It is a great scope all in all but too big and heavy for what I need. I think I may go with the 3-12x instead. It is great for extremely long range but in wooded Ms there's not a lot of need for that long of a range. The night vision is very clear. It weighs the gun down tremendously which I did not like.
