Most Helpful Negative Review Unfortunate
I really wanted to like this. Got it installed, moved freely. Went to rack it to check tolerance and it shattered. Not mortaring not racking hard, just trying to check clearance and score as per Atrius directions. Shattered in like 10 pieces. Theres no way this would handle the bolt cycling. Like I ...

Atrius FRT install with Rise 140 trigger and test firing results

by ChRlie, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on June 11, 2026
Installed in my 5.56 AR. Worked flawlessly in safety and semiauto. In multiple shot 3rd sentence it fired about 10 rounds very quickly then stopped. Cleared the chamber and fired again and it once again failed to fire. I looked at the bullet I had to remove and noticed it had a light primer strike. The buffer in the gun is a H2. I am told that I likely need to just install a H3 buffer to solve the issue. I have replaced the H2 buffer with a H3 buffer but have not yet tested. The first install was not clear on the video but I got it figured out. I liked the FRT well enough that I bought and had no problem installing. In both installs I used a Rise 140 trigger. In past years I have used FOSTEC binary triggers. They were problematic and had heavy rough trigger pulls. Their install and instructions are horrible. Their service response is horrible too. Both their Sports and AR2 models I do not recommend. The Atrius FRT tigger pull is good with the Rise 140 trigger. If my changing to a H3 buffer light strike issue corrects the problem I give the Atrius FRT high marks. I am planning to try it out in my AR pistol with a CMMG 22 conversion kit and Bolt Buddy kit and will see how it works.
Pros:
  • Simple product
Cons:
  • Initial install questions could not get answered

Tried this with a mil-spec & a dropin trigger but it would not work with either -- finally ordered an actual FRT.

1000 rounds and still loving it

by Nick, Verified Owner from MI, United States Written on May 20, 2026
Bought the original awhile back and have since put 1000 rounds on my single sided selector and a couple hundred through the ambi one I picked up recently. No issues or breaks and still loving it. When these go on sale for sub $200 pick one up.

buyer regret

Check the description first as this mil-spec. Paid $199 just last week but it’s now $179. At this rate should’ve bought from original manufacturer.
