Not too large of a step diameter to fit inside delta ring like other handguards of the same style. Also, no gap where the upper and lower half come together along the sides.
B5 OD green 6 hole skinny CAR handguards
The quality is solid,as is the green color. The OD Green handguards are not glossy like the black one's. They are flat green. At first I didn't like that,but it matches the finish of their OD Green pistol grips and carbine stocks. But shiny is correct for the black one's. If you want something different for your furniture color, this green is awesome on an AR. The gaps are clean and uniform all the way down the length of the two halves. I did have to file a small amount of material from the end that fits under the slip ring in order to get them to clear the ring when installing them. But that seems to be the case with all of the different brands of old school carbine handguards I've dealt with. Less Magpul MOE M-loc. These are NOT the fat 7 hole M4 handguards. And they do have the aluminum heat shields.

Good Grip, sometimes the old ways are best
This handguard cuts a lot of weight. I can grip this fully. This is an early type handguard. If you're looking for simple, this is it.

Great option
This is a solid, professional grade forend. I really like all the b5 products I own. I am a huge fan of the old Colt commando, and car-15, and this is one great piece to use in the construction of them.
