Most Helpful Positive Review Great Value
I purchased his scope and I have found no issues with it at the range. Good focus up to 200 yards to view .223 holes in paper. Also took this unit with me when I went out west for prarie dogs. Good view and focus at 400 to 600 yards.
Most Helpful Negative Review Good value for the price
Purchased this scope for the gun range and was disappointed that it would not focus past 50x at 300 yards or 600 yards. 45x worked best at 300 but it took about 30 sec. to pick out the impact holes on paper targets. 50x worked best at 600 yards but it was again difficult to pick out 223 impact marks...

Farm/Ranch Manager

by Bud, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on February 2, 2025
It’s a ok spotting scope. It’s only clear at 20-30 power and any thing greater is impossible to see.
Pros:
  • Clear at 20-30 power only
Cons:
  • Not clear at greater power
Best Used for:
  • sighting in rifles

Game changer at the Range!

by Jackrabbit, from NV, United States Written on February 28, 2024
This is my first time purchasing a spotting scope. Wow what a difference at the range and scanning over the desert valleys in the deserts of Nevada. Money well spent and affordable for the person on a budget trying to up their shooting game with necessary equipment. Optics are great and even had a tripod included along with soft case. One purchase and your set. I would recommend to anyone just starting to explore the world of spotting scopes.

This isn’t worth the money …

by David, Verified Owner from MT, United States Written on March 18, 2023
Don’t waste a hundred bucks. Poor eye relief…The objective cap broke off and the eye cap falls off. I used this item twice. If you can’t afford more than this, you may as well walk down range to see your targets.

Amazing band for buck

by Steve T, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on April 11, 2022
Under $200-300 there isn’t a huge selection of spotting scopes especially name brand. And while Barska is not name brand it is a known brand. I bought this just to sight in rifles inside 200 yards. First use was easily able to see holes in paper at 100 yards but tripod was very shaky. After using a few times overall working really well, steady image. Eye relief is pretty decent with 20-30x but higher than that image gets noticeable smaller and darker which makes it harder to see. Tested it today scoping out in a hilly area, with 60x was able to see windows and doors of homes about 1.5-2 miles away with hood clarity although slightly hazy. Overall unless I’m going to spend $400-600 I don’t think there’s much I’m missing out on here.
Pros:
  • Works, price, semi name brand, 60mm and 60x
Cons:
  • Not a $600 scope
Best Used for:
  • Sighting in optics inside 300 yards

extremely clear lens

by Jpjroofs Johnson, Verified Owner from OH, United States Written on December 7, 2021
Used this on a few hunts this year and it could literally see all 600 acres from the top hill. I could zoom in on the brush and see if there was anything bedded down the only thing I would recommend is getting a full length tripod because the short one that comes with it is not enough. I’m not laying down spotting animals and even if I did the grass would be too tall for me to see over that grass
Pros:
  • Clairity
  • long range clarity
  • Ease Of Use
Cons:
  • short tripod
Best Used for:
  • Scouting/spotting

Looking for a suitable scope

by RiverTrader, from TN, United States Written on March 21, 2021
Purchased spotting scope to use on the range, scope functions properly with clear view of target. Not the best functions available but when on a budget this unit will fit the bill. Scope tripod allow user to bench use and prone position usage I find proper bench supporting allows ease of view adjustments as I find adjusting wheel a little firm when turning.

Barska Spotting Scope.

by Vanessa, from OR, United States Written on November 11, 2020
Been having lots of fun with this product. It is easy to zoom and focus. Is very clear and has plenty of eye clearance. Love the fact that it is so light and we'll balanced. My hunting friends are also impressed with it and they are all ex military.

Not as good as expected

by Zee, from OK, United States Written on November 2, 2020
If you want to see the moon it’s ok, but a 556 hole at a 100 yards is near impossible. I even had others at the range give it a try with no one being able to see clearly. My buddies Simmons 85 6060 was crystal clear compared to this scope.

not as good as i thought it would be.

by locknload, Verified Owner from FL, United States Written on November 13, 2018
i have found that this scope only works well out to the 75-80 yard line and really not any further.
also asked a few of the boys at the range there thoughts as well, they agree.
the tripod that comes with scope is of poor quality at best.
i disposed of the tripod, lucky for me i had an old telescope tripod laying around.
i myself am not impressed with this scope.
Pros:
  • ok for short distance 75 yards
Cons:
  • tripod is cheap
Best Used for:
  • signting in
  • sighting in short distance .
