Most Helpful Positive Review Bore sighting
I used my set to bore sight both my son's 30-06 and my 300mag. We only had to make minor adjustments at the range to zero the scopes. Worked better than I thought it would and much better than the laser options that I've tried. Pros: Easy to use Cons: Must set rifle in holder to properly perform s...

Most Helpful Negative Review Do not buy this (or any Barska products)
Barska AW11076 bore sight from Optics Planet was advertised as "15 -piece arbor set that ranges from .177 to .50 caliber" I would not have purchased this item if the description had been more precise. The most popular caliber in the USA by a wide margin is 556/223. It is hard to believe that Barska ...

Bore Scope

by Ray, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on September 2, 2023
Great product and it definitely helps getting optic on paper or getting you a reference point if swapping scopes/mounts. Only reason I gave it a 4 out of 5 is because the arbors are a tad bit short from some muzzle devices I have and will not provide a solid lock up. It also isn’t ideal for those with lower 1/3 mounts as the optic is just a tad bit high on ar platforms. But for bolt actions or other ar’s this product works like a dream.
Pros:
  • cost
  • organized
  • Multi Caliber compatible
  • simple & easy
Cons:
  • Compatibility issues
Best Used for:
  • scope instalation

Boresight for 223/5.56

by Seabee1425, from TN, United States Written on November 19, 2022
I have one of the Barska kits which is the same as this product. 5.56 IS a 22 caliber cartridge. The rods in my kit have a spring built into the rod that contacts the bore when inserted insuring a tight fit. Maybe your kit didn't have the spring.

Barska Iron Boresighter Kit

by Eduardo Sandoval, from NM, United States Written on January 16, 2019
Purchased the Barska boresighter kit. Very poor design. The rod retaining wire is made of light weight copper wire. When inserting into the the rifle bore the wire collapses and does not hold the boresighter from swiveling. Can not tighten or adjust to sight in the rifles. I sincerely would not recommend this item to anyone This was a waste of good earned money for such a bad product.

Barska Iron Boresighter

I used this product a couple of times and each time it got me on paper, it didnt get me a bullseye but it got me on paper to start. Something you can work with to get you started on setting that scope. I will continue to use this boresighter as long as I can.

Bar ska Iron Boresighter Kit

by Thomas Green, Verified Owner from WV, United States Written on March 13, 2015
Really liked this boresght kit. Aligned 3 scopes before I left the house. At the range I only had a few clicks on each scope and I was zeroed. Saved a bunch of ammo. The only negative is I couldn't align the high-mount scope on my AR. The grid screen wasn't high enough.

Not recommended for rifles

by Alien Gray, from IN, United States Written on March 5, 2015
This boresighter is different than most. It works ok with handguns.....but of course not many people put scopes on handguns. The target used to site your scope.....its that large black scope looking thing in the middle of the box.....is way too heavy and falls to the side when trying to adjust scope. The boresighter rods don't fit perfectly.....in .223 or .308.....they both have some play to them in the barrel. All in all not thrilled with the purchase.

not what promised

by shooter, from OH, United States Written on January 21, 2015
We have a Henry Golden Boy .22 with scope and is not even remotely accurate. We are thinking of returning it. It is easier to site in with a laser on the wall. I would spend my money else where.!!!!!!!

Barska does it again

by JT, from MO, United States Written on December 28, 2014
This is a great boresight kit with all the essentials to get you on paper. I was a little sceptical with the product at first but was able to use this for my .22 red dot scope as well as my Nikon scope. It worked nicely.

Barska Iron Boresighter Kit

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from MD, United States Written on June 22, 2013
Use Kit on AR-15 (.223)and Remington 700 (.308). Works well on putting your initial rounds "On Paper".

Need to be careful during the process because the business end tends to slip. Best if you have a good brace for the rifle during the process.
Pros: Ease of Use
Cons: Slips easily
