I purchased a safe for my business. I had the safe for 7 months. The knob that opens the safe broke. It just keeps turning and won’t open. Something is wrong with the mechanics. I tried to contact the warranty department and that was a frustrating process in itself. They denied my warranty and didn’t really offer a reason why. I asked to speak with management and was ignored. If you have any issues with your safe you will not be helped!!!

It’s quick access with the key. Biometrics never really worked and when it did, it took so many tries, you wouldn’t be able to stake your life on it.
I gave up on it and haven’t looked back. It doesn’t work well with scoped rifles unless you only have one. If you want another long gun in there,
You won’t be able to retrieve either very quickly.

Giving this a two star because it won't recognize either thumb print or either thumb print of my wife. other finger prints work fine. Quality is fine and works great unless I try to use my thumb print to open it.

The bio-metrics don’t work for long. The insides are smaller than you think. You could get 3-4 long guns with iron sights but an AR-15 can’t be removed very quickly if scoped. The shelf above is difficult for a full sized handgun to be stored or removed without endangering the weapons finish. I keep mine wrapped in a small towel for protection. The shelf is steel.

A very good lockable steel cabinet. I would not call it a safe. It looks like a safe, has a lock like a safe and is named "safe". It has no inner secure material to prevent it from being breached by simple metal working tools. That said, for use within your secure home, it is a very good choice to keep its contents from the hands of children or invited guests. The biometric (fingerprint) locking mechanism works wonderfully. For the price, it was a good choice for me. It is light enough for one person to move into place and anchor down. My only criticism is the stick on foam long gun divider. Shame Shame Barska

As a previous reviewer has indicated, this is not really a "safe." It is more of a thin-gauge steel, weapon lock box. If you don't secure it to the floor it can easily be picked up and carried away, weapons and all. The biometric lock is not fool-proof. I have all 8 fingers and both thumbs stored and it opens for me about 60% of the time first try. I have big hands too so its not a small print problem. Your fingers need to be placed just so. I rather think the issue must be in the simple matching algorithm used by the reader and lock controller. When it does work, the door unlocks in about 2-3 seconds.
It also makes a lot of noise when the door is being opened or closed normally. There is something in the door mechanism which swings back and forth clanging against the sheet steel panels and makes a racket. If you were trying to open this silently you better be slow and smooth otherwise everyone nearby will hear you.
It is also pretty small inside. The shelf cannot be adjusted up or down so long-barreled rifles may not fit well. An AR with a red dot installed will only fit sideways - the door will not close otherwise.
This "safe" can probably keep inquisitive young folks at bay, but it will not stop a determined thief.

Im really struggling to rate this product. On one hand it works as it is meant to but on the other hand it is way too small. I could only fit my AR on an angle because my eotech optic was keeping the door from closing. I could only fit one other handgun on the included shelf without stacking them. If you are looking for a single rifle safe this is what you want. Maybe you could fit a smaller shotgun but I am not sure. I cant complain too much on size because I should have realized what I was getting. The biggest complaint I have is that it is not stable on the floor. This NEEDS to be anchored or it will fall over.

I bought this for my son for his birthday. He said he had no problem setting it up and loves the fingerprint technology. So far he has had no issues getting it to open. The only reason he did not give it 5 stars is it does not have an adjustable shelf. It can be bolted to the wall so it is not going anywhere. This is not a super secure or fireproof safe but for the money is it not meant to be.

Bought this long gun safe for my mancave which is at another location. I like the fingerprint recognition. The size is convenient for a corner location. Plan to store some less expensive firearms in it. Like it and like the price. I hope to find that is secure if I have a breakin. I am pleased with it so far.

P.O.S. The biometrics don't work. If you had to get in here in a hurry you'd be dead. Even if you keep your finger in the same spot after programing it only opens about 1 out of 10 tries. This site wants me to write more about this product so I will repeat: P.O.S.
