Battle Arms Upper Receiver
This is one of the premium, lightweight, Upper Receivers on the market. It also has an incredible, hi-tech look to it. The price is good at Optics Planet, but I suspect BA is sending their blemished items to OP. I sent the first one back for radial machine lines below the ejection port. The second one I got back was worse. When I studied BA's website I could see some lines in their "Studio" photos too. So I guess they just can't get this area machined without some marks below the port. Anyway I just kept it. At least you can't see it after the port door flips open. And it's not really horrible...

lightest ever
this is by far the lightest upper receiver ive ever held in my hand. It is lightweight on a whole other level. The cuts are beautiful and the finish is great. Get the strike industry overmold dust cover for this, its an absolute perfect pair.
Pros:
- Lightweight
- Aesthetic
Cons:
- price
Would recommend: Yes
So light it feels fake!
I am in the process of building a lightweight AR15, with this rcvr set I got my build to just under 4.5 lbs. Well worth the money. I didn't want to go polymer and the design of this is amazing. Rigid, sleek and worth the money. In the Army, I wish I had this quality. Barrel nut slides on with ease, BCG slides with ease, I will know more to critique once I get it to the range.
Pros:
- Lightweight
- Aesthetics
- unique
Cons:
- Expensive
Best Used for:
- Lightweight build
Would recommend: Yes
Battle arms upper
In deciding to build a lightweight upper AR M4 carbine I decided to go with the battle arms development lightweight upper. The cutouts and machining are VERY quality. I have not compared the weight to a standard mill spec stripped up because depending on witch option you consider that information is available at your fingertips. I am very happy with my choice!
Pros:
- Quality, unique look & light
Cons:
- No forward assist(but not needed)
Would recommend: Yes

High Quality Lightweight Upper
The finish on this billet upper receiver was smooth and satin-looking, inside and out. Its light weight, at only 6.3 oz, was exactly what I wanted for my lightweight AR build, and it fit perfectly on my Anderson lower. The sculpting not only helped keep it light but also looks cool.

Lightweight Billet Upper Receiver
Can’t go wrong with B.A.D. Lightweight and looks great. Fits great on my Seekins Precision lower. This billet upper is slightly wider than my forged uppers. Worth the wait for the 3-4 weeks being back ordered.

Battle Arms Development... Nuff said!
I needed this Battle Arms Development lightweight upper to finish my 5lb. lightweight build. I had it on order somewhere else for months! Optics Planet had it "in stock" and shipped it quick. Thank you O.P. for a smooth seem less transaction!
