Most Helpful Positive Review Beamshot gun laser 1000 super & ultra
I have used these lasers from 1997 and they are still in use. mounted on the.44 mag. Redhawk down to hand guns in .22 cal. and long guns as well, they have not given any major broblems. I do reccomend them from on hand experience. the ultra is the best for brightness. They can be a little tricky on s...

Most Helpful Negative Review Beamshot 1000 Ultra Bright Laser Sight
Although the ad did not mention or picture it, this laser came packaged with a rail mount. The laser beam was reasonably bright but Beamshot's claims of 5X or 10X brighter than other models is questionable. Any laser 1/5 as bright as the Ultra model wouldnt even be adequate as a laser pointer. ...

IR conversion

by Chad, Verified Owner from TN, United States Written on January 25, 2015
This worked great for an IR conversion if you are interested.. there is an ar15.com thread that walks you through it. I managed to remove the red laser diode without any hassle. Plan on purchasing some housing for it in the future, but can't wait to use the IR laser w my PVS14 head rig.
Pros:
  • Price
Cons:
  • only bought one
Best Used for:
  • IR conversion

Does what it should

by Legacy Reviewer, from CA, United States Written on November 29, 2013
It does what it is supposed to do. It is hard to see on the targets in the daylight. Adjusting it is very difficult. You get it where it needs to be but when you try to set it the beam adjusts. Not bad for the price.
Pros: It works
Cons: Difficult to set up

Beamshot 1000 Super Bright Laser Sight

by Legacy Reviewer, from PA, United States Written on March 1, 2013
I opted for the Super Bright over the Ultra Bright because I don't anticipate shooting at a distance of 800 yards. The brightness is the same in both models. I purchased it for closer distance self-defense. Just what my KSG needed.
Pros: Easy install, bright, good for long gun or pistol and it is a reputable product name with good reviews..
Cons: A slight learning curve to be able to sight this in.

Rugged and priced right

by Legacy Reviewer, from WA, United States Written on August 18, 2011
The Beamshot is rugged, reliable and relatively inexpensive. The design isn't tacticool, it is simple but again rugged. The only complaint would be that it needs a better attachment to be used with a picatinny rail. But that is easily resolved.
Pros: Rugged, inexpensive
Cons: sub-par mount

Great laser

by Legacy Reviewer, from VA, United States Written on July 29, 2011
This is a great laser. I just wish it had a strobe setting so that the laser could not be traced back to the shooter. Other than that and the price along with needing to buy a mount. This is a great laser.
Pros: Holds Zero
Cons: $$$$

Beammshot 1000

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from AK, United States Written on November 8, 2010
Great unit. It worked very well as it arrived and I ended up converting it to an IR laser by installing a different diode. Make note of the mount. The attached mount requires a seperate pistol adapter to be used or a seperate adapter to attach to a rail.
Pros: Very easy to use
Cons: Requires an additional mount
