Good value. Good product.
The Berne 10oz. duck canvass jacket looks as sturdy as a Carhart for about half the price. The quilted flannel lining appears to be very warm. The hood is sewn on. The rip-open pockets on the front for concealed carry are large and will probably accommodate a full size pistol or revolver. There are pockets for your hands as well, plus inside pockets on both sides. I believe this jacket will be great this winter.

- The hood is not removable.

Better than advertised - yes - REALLY!
First off, you cannot beat OPTICSPLANET customer service! They know about the products, they're friendly, and they make certain you get what you want. My primary concern wasn't quality; it was the fit. I'm 6'00 200lbs w/athletic build, but my arm length (34.5") typically makes me buy XLs when my body is only a MED+. So, I called & talked to Benjamin Norris who not only got me the best price, but got actual measurements for the jacket & recommended a LARGE-which fits me great and perfectly hides my full-sized Smith 1006. The jacket is high quality, comfortable (the fabric starts out stiff, but breaks in quickly) and the number of pockets is really ideal. There isn't anything I'd change about this coat and I can't rave enough about the personalized service I get every time from OPTICSPLANET. Buy with total confidence.
