Most Helpful Positive Review Perfect fit
I purchased in hopes to make my Charter Arms "J" frame 38 Special my main concealed carry weapon. This holster needed zero break in time and in regards to quality of workmanship more than met my expectations. My only regret is not having purchased one sooner. Pros: Perfect fit to firearm / holds clo...

Most Helpful Negative Review Doesn't fit my sig 229
This is the second black widow holster I have bought for my sig 229. The first one was years ago. The holster fit tight but it fit. This new one the security strap doesn't even come close to snapping closed. I emailed Safariland about this and it took them over a week to get back to me, by this tim...

Bianchi Holster

by BP, Verified Owner from WA, United States Written on January 29, 2025
First time buyer from Optics Planet. Their website was easy to follow. What I really liked was the quick response from them when i had any questions about my order. They were able to answer my questions promptly. The delivery was quick. I usually wait about a month to get items from other retailers. This came in within the week. The holster was of great quality. I will definitely return to Optics Planet.com

Black Widow

by Mark, Verified Owner from FL, United States Written on March 28, 2024
I love the black widow holsters, I use one as my EDC Glock 19. Wanted one for my Sig 226 which it clearly states it fits on the package anyway, unfortunately it would not properly fit either of my 226 pistols. No idea what the issue was except possibly Bianchi put the wrong holster in the package?? Returned without problem.
Pros:
  • great lightweight holsters
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • EDC

Black Widows don't bite

by SeldomSeen, from NM, United States Written on June 17, 2021
I've had a Black Widow on one of my pistols
for years and love it. Conforms nicely to my
skinny body and is relatively invisible for
an OWB holster. Getting this second one for
my Kimber stainless 9mm in a 1911 configuration
was an easy decision.
Pros:
  • Visibility, comfort, and less leather to clear
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • concealed carry

Universal fit for 1911

by General, from AL, United States Written on December 4, 2019
Weapon fits securely with thumb break. Open barrel design fits any length barrel with hammer down. I ride a bike so I keep chamber empty in case I go down, no need to shoot myself if that happens, Easy to access Magazine release with weapon holstered.
Pros:
  • Fit & feel great
Cons:
  • exposed barrel
Best Used for:
  • concealed carry all year

Bianchi Black Widow for Hi Power

by Myles, Verified Owner from ND, United States Written on November 11, 2019
Bought this for my Browning Hi Power. Says on the manufacturer carton that it is for “hammer down” carry. I bought with intention of cocked and locked carry, so I returned it. Seemed well made though.
Pros:
  • good price
  • well made
Cons:
  • Not for cocked and locked
Would recommend: Yes

Bianchi Black Widow Holsters

by badger 1, from WA, United States Written on June 22, 2019
I recently purchased, & received, several of Bianchi's Black Widow holsters that Optics Planet had on sale for concealed carry with my CZ75/EAA standard and Compact pistols, my Springfield P-9, my Browning Hi-Power, my S&W K-Frame and my Kimber Officers model in 9mm after having in the past purchased one for my Taurus 38 2 inch that fit like a glove and carries like a dream. I love the top thumb break and forward cant, ease of extraction for use and the light weight and.....just like the one I've been using for my .38 every single firearm slide right into it's new holster and snapped up perfectly. You can't ask for a better fit right out of the box. Bianchi products shine.

Damned Fine

by Chief Delaney, from MN, United States Written on November 1, 2018
For those times when you can live with an open muzzle, it doesn't get better. The high ride is a real advantage as it doesn't scare too many old folks. I prefer elk lining but you can't have everything.
Pros:
  • Correct ride
Cons:
  • not lined
  • Unlined
Best Used for:
  • Day trip into bad areas

The Best Holster for a Browning Hi Power

by michael, from CA, United States Written on April 7, 2018
This fits my Browning Hi Power to a T, right down to the thumb break which only closes if you have one in the pipe ready to go and the hammer locked back. I'm not crazy about the exposed muzzle though. There uses to be a Bianchi production model 4AL for the Hi Power that enclosed the muzzle. But, I can't find one anymore. I saw one on Ebay awhile back and should have grabbed it up. But, I wasn't paying attention and the auction ended over my bid. However, this will do nicely for a CCW holster. I have mine sitting in the safe with the Hi Power in it to stretch it out where it needs it.
Pros:
  • Fits upper trigger group perfectly
Cons:
  • exposed muzzle
Best Used for:
  • CCW
