Most Helpful Positive Review Bianchi Model 77 Piranha Holster for Ruger LCR .38 Special, Black, Left Hand 24959
The holster was stiff at first, I let the ruger sit in the holster for two days and it fit the handgun perfect and slid in and out of the holster easy the more I used it The holster on some of my pants will not fit between the belt loops but other than that it's great. Pros: built tough Cons: none

Pretty good entry level holster

by Ed, from CA, United States Written on October 15, 2017
Purchased this for my Ruger LCR Revolver. It is very snug fitting and is unnoticeable after sometime wearing and breaking in the holster. It is pretty comfortable and would recommend. Good retention as well and with the third slot allows option for cross draw carry. Only downside is on some pants I own the belt loops get in the way of where I like to mount the holster. Other than that it is great.

First OWB and favorite holster to date

by J, Verified Owner from IL, United States Written on September 4, 2017
This was my first owb for any carry gun. I was afraid of needing to get new shirts that were longer but a standard t-shirt keeps is covered. It stays put at about 10 o'clock(cross draw). The break in period was about a week. My lcr is snug up to my body and prints minimally when twisting. The only thing that I do not like is the draw when sitting in my car. This may be fixed by shifting closer to 11 o'clock... We will see. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that I would like another 5 or 10 degrees of cant for cross draw.for making it more useful as a driving holster.
Pros:
  • Great for use when riding a cruiser style motorcycle
Cons:
  • Could use more cant for cross draw when sitting in a car
Best Used for:
  • Tight fit and all day walking comfort

great quality and design

by hoosier, Verified Owner from IN, United States Written on November 4, 2016
The Ruger LCR is a tough revolver to design a retention holster for given the internal hammer design. Someone at Bianchi did a great job. Holster fits like a glove, nice quality leather, good workmanship, lightweight and compact. Can't go wrong with this one.
Pros:
  • Lightweight
  • compact
  • good value
  • Good fit
  • Quality materials
  • good workmanship
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • concealed carry

Surprising

by URBNLGND, from AZ, United States Written on November 2, 2015
We bought this for my FIance as a last minute sidearm holster for our deer hunt here in Southern AZ. For this pistol, options seem to be limited for a left handed female shooter. This had pretty decent reviews. I was skeptical because, although it is a name brand the stock images look cheap and this is not their top of the line model. Once we got it she strapped it on to break it in and do some drills. It seemed to be good construction and the right tool for the job we needed. Once in the field, she told me after each day she was more and more impressed by it, because she almost forgot it was there. Cant adjustment is 2 options and that is plenty for most people. drawing and retention are great, and the cheap look is easily forgotten due to performance satisfaction. I do recommend this item.
Pros:
  • Price
  • Ease of use
  • Comfortable
Cons:
  • uglyish
Best Used for:
  • EDC
  • sidearm
  • CC

Bianchi Holster for Ruger LCR

by Butch, from GA, United States Written on March 13, 2015
Fits like a glove. Use for both .357 mag and .22LR LCR models with Crimson Trace laser sights.
Will only fit between the very front belt loops and blocks use of the pocket. Fit is sooo! tight that pistol could not be remove from holster without help from a second person. Suggest using clear KiWi shoe polish inside holster first and then put pistol in a sandwich bag for initial break in.
Pros:
  • None
Cons:
  • Will only fit between very front belt loops and blocks access to pocket.

by Ranger, from MN, United States Written on August 29, 2014
I just received this holster and I'm very impressed with the fit and finish of this holster and it rides very nice on the hip with my 5.11 belt, drawing and reholstering is real easy in the 3-4 position and the thumb snap does what it's made to do,holds the lcr in the holster with a very snug fit. One of the best holsters I have purchased in a long time.
