The Bianchi X15 shoulder Holster is terrible as shipped by the factory. The leather harness that threads or weaves into the holster assembly is way too short. As a result, you can’t thread your belt through the bottom of the holster as designed. It’s just unusable. As far as the wire spring that is inside the holster, it’s intended to keep the handgun from falling out. Don’t try to push the handgun through it, or pull the handgun straight out through the spring. “Think” about drawing the handgun straight of the top the same way you would draw from a traditional belt holster. Same thing when reholstering. I really hop Bianchi increases the Leno of the harness. Right now it might fit a young child.

Hard to rate this item; O/P shipped quickly and arrived on time. However, the holster came with NO instructions, and has enough straps and hold downs it will either take a quantum physicist to figure out how to wear it, or my go to - YouTube. I will update when I get the time to figure it out. This holster was not at all cheap, for the money they could have included instructions for wearing/adjustment. Also, made in Mexico, if that matters to you.
Cons:
- no instruction manual provided
Best Used for:
- Two legged varmint control

When I originally opened the shipping box, this was an item that I'm certain was a return. The top cardboard product label had the staple legs bent apart and was hardly hooked into the cardboard label...and there weren't any instructions. At first I was going to send it back but Bianchi/Safari makes some pretty good stuff. So after checking Bianchi's site and getting some ideas on how it should be adjusted started making sense. As I started with the leather adjustment, I was pretty impressed they used a 'molle' type weave to adjust the leather loops over the shoulder. I needed a small screwdriver to assist in unweaving the molle leather straps.I left the top one in to keep it from moving once I get a good adjustment. After a few iterations I got it to fit my left shoulder and adjusting the elastic straps was pretty easy. I was surprised at how little stretch is needed for the elastic straps that basically are there to keep the shoulder straps in place. Since this is a vertical holster I had to run my tactical belt through the holster to secure it. Once that was done, it fit and felt great.
I'm using a S&W 686 Plus .357 magnum with 6 " barrel, so this is the ultimate conceal and carry...lol I actually only plan to wear it at the range and maybe an unloaded pistol in the holster for Halloween or something.
Anyway I'm glad I didn't send it back since I got a really great discount from OpticsPlanet.
Pros:
- Is comfortable
- Once adjusted correctly fits great
Cons:
- A bit rices
- Takes a bit of time to acually adjust it properly
Best Used for:
- Range fun
- Western type festivals
- Conceal and Carry in the Winter with a big coat

This holster is not a good fit for a SW 5906. The real issue is the leather shoulder strap is too short. For a couple of cents more, they could make the strap much longer and the average guy could easily trim it off. I was going to make a longer strap, but who has the time for that? I have never been able to use this holster.

After researching many websites and being confused by the sizing charts, I found Optics Planet had the best price and the best sizing information. This holster is very comfortable, and believe it or don't, it can actually conceal this big revolver.

Harness is not worth much. A customized holster-harness is being CUSTOMIZED for me by an expert in Hollywood. Have done business with him multiple times. More expensive than Bianchi item, but it's worth it. A twisted harness is NOT easy to use.
Cons:
- harness not user-friendly

Product was exactly what we wanted even though the catalog did not list the type of gun we had and customer service could not help us with the same question. Metal spines where gun is held is a plus for long time use. Very well made.
