Most Helpful Positive Review A Bullet Proof Scope Mount!
I purchased a BKL Model 261 mount for my venerable Remington 512X bolt action .22 rifle a year or two ago and I am very pleased with it in all respects. To begin with, I am partial to single piece scope mounts because there are fewer "moving parts" than in the case of more traditional scope rings. Moreover, use of a single piece mount allows you to you avoid the irksome alignment and lapping issues presented by the use of ring mounts. BKL model 261 rimfire dovetail scope mount

Very solid mount. Easy to install. Excellent installation directions included on the manufacturer's website. Torque wrench is advised. The base calls for 35 inch/lbs and check your scope manufacturers torque for the rings.

rigid mount

Bought this to mount a scope on my wife's .22LR. First thing I noticed is the mounting bracket is rigid. You have to slide this onto the dovetail. My wife's rifle has a ceracoat coating, so had to break out the masking tape, and tac hammer to get it to go on. Once in place it's solid as a rock. Mounted a Konus 2-7 rimfire scope. The wife loves it. Only thing I can think of that is negative is that it's cut to be a see thru mount for you iron sights, but the mounting screws are in the way.
