Most Helpful Positive Review Great Product
This stock is high quality and easy to install. It took about ten minutes to install and comes with extra grip inserts. This stock is also light. I only wish it came comparable with a left handed action. Pros: Affordable, Very Good Ergonomics, Usefull storage compartment, Cons: Not compatable with left handed action without a little fabrication

Great stock

I bought this stock because the barrel has nothing contacting it to cause accuracy issues. It is very well balanced and light which I like because I hunt public land. It was fairly easy to install so a person don't have to be a gun smith to change it out. Just make sure to read all the directions when installing. Have only shot it to sight it in and not sure if the 85% recoil reduction is accurate but it did reduce it some.

BlackHawk Axiom TH Remington 700 Thumbhole Rifle Stock BLACK

I had a shoulder injury a few years ago that left me unable to take the recoil of anything heavier than a 243 Win. This stock makes it possible for me to hunt and shoot my Remington 700 in a 30.06. It cuts the recoil to that of my 243 Win before I added the Blackhawk U/L stock to it. The thumbhole design helps me to further control the recoil by being able to have a better hold of the rifle.

Cons:
  • sharp edges
  • slight modification to fit rifle
Best Used for:
  • shoulder injuries
  • small framed shooter with large caliber guns

Wasted money

This item appears to have been used before I got it from Optics Planet. Two of the small screws were somewhat stripped ( and I use screwdrivers made for firearms). This stock isn't doing the job it's intended for (recoil reduction).
Cons: Doesn't redice recoil

7mm Rem Mag

I bought this stock to reduce the recoil on my 7mm. After some modifying I added a detachable Magazine. I am very happy with this stock and would recommend it to anyone. My father has had back surgery and I was afraid he would not be able to hunt any more, this stock changed that.
