Most Helpful Positive Review BlackHawk CQD Sling review
I've done lots of research into single, 2 & 3 point slings, even tried making my own. The convertible feature of this Blackhawk sling gives the benefits of maneuverability from single pt, carry options and comfort from 2 pt use. (The sling straps are very long and needs to be adjusted shorter to ...

To long and the two bungie's is over kill

by Pings, Verified Owner from UT, United States Written on June 18, 2015
The sling is not useful for a carbine type weapon. It is way to long very stiff material and the two bungie's is over kill for a two point application. as a single point sling plan on removing a lot of sling strap. Invest in the M4 Magpul.
Pros:
  • Alot of sling length if you need it
Cons:
  • Not very flexable for quick carbine shooting
Best Used for:
  • Larger rifles
Would recommend: No

Great QD sling

by Jon, from MA, United States Written on October 30, 2014
Its just what I wanted. A two to single point QD sling that you can run either front and back or connect the clips and use as a single point sling. Includes bungee attachment to allow for easy dropping and switching from primary to side arm. Easily adjustable for varying sized shooters also. Perfect for any rifle and any situation. 10/10 would recommend.
Pros:
  • easy to adjust
  • multiple configurations
  • nice clips
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • any rifle sling

BlackHawk CQD Sling w/ Covers, nice sling for the money

by Legacy Reviewer, from TX, United States Written on September 5, 2013
I purchased this sling for my duty AR Carbine. This is the 1st sling I've owned with the HK style hooks and I was a little skeptical about the easy of use and if they would stay attached to the weapon. I am very impressed with this style of connectors and have will have no worries if I have to use my weapon in an actual tactical deployment. It is well made with heavy duty metal hooks and strap material. Velcro holds the fabric nicely over hooks and eliminates all noise. After fitting the sling, I found that a couple of the elastic loops was needed to hold unneeded strap. I could trim ends, but I have found that it is somewhat difficult to get a clean seal with a flame form either a gas stove or BIC style lighter.
Pros: Flexible single to 2 point sling, very well made, extra stitching at hook attachments, HD metal hooks
Cons: Very long straps
Would recommend: Yes

Great alternative to the "IDF slings"

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from KY, United States Written on June 23, 2013
Well made. Heavy duty metal hooks. Velcro holds the fabric nicely over hooks and eliminates all noise. Could use a couple more of the fabric loops to hold unneeded strap after fitting it up for yourself... or I suppose you could trim ends and hopefully seal with a flame. Used in tac training and performs well. This sling is much better made and a good alternative to the "IDF Slings" I have purchased.
Pros: Very well made, extra stitching at hook attachments, HD metal hooks

Difficult and uncomfortable

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on February 12, 2013
I own two of these, bought both because I thought it would be worth purchasing a quality sling. Personally, I do not think they are worth the price and I would rather settle with a more simple sling. In order to adjust the sling to where the weapon is resting at "chest ready", the sling is so tight around your chest that it is difficult to get on, off, or maneuver in any way.
Pros: Quality
Cons: Bulky, Difficult to use
Would recommend: No
