Good but not as good as the original MOD version.
I have 2 of these Blackhawk knives and an original MOD. The MOD is the best. This knife is good regarding steel, grind and sheath. The handle is too thin, way too thin. I have an FDE version and the handle is correct but the steel sucks (very soft), the grind seems to have been done by one person on the left side and a different person with a different idea on the right side. The sheath is horrible - plastic and rattle-city.
So, acceptable knife, improved sheath, but wear gloves for extended use of the knife.

2nd chances
I was looking for this knife a few years back and heard they were discontinued. When I saw that OP recently had some in stock, I jumped in it immediately! Shipping was fast as always. This knife did not disappoint! Great size, lightweight, sharp out of the box. Of course the sheath isn't great, which is sadly typical of most knives, but that is a reflection of the knife company, not OP! Once again, OP has a very satisfied customer!
