This could have been outstanding. They just missed designing it right. The muzzle slides into a sleeve, then there's a fabric cone that goes over that but that cone doesn't completely cover the barrel! So with your gun all enclosed in the case, there's about a foot of the barrel still exposed. If the cone had a velcro strip on the bottom, it would have solved the problem. The other negative is that the shooting pad folds in such a way that the rifle is stored against the underside of the mat. So if you shot off wet, muddy ground, now your gun will be stored in that mud.
Pros: Well made, very comfortable when used as a backpack
Cons: Some design flaws
Would recommend: No

I only recommend if you know what you're getting. Good overall, but there is no closure at the top of the rifle, only straps. The padded barrel pouch is great, but the protective fabric cover that slips over isn't long enough for keeping stuff out effectively. I'll fix both issues with some added fabric and velcro strips to create a top rain-fly and extend the barrel rain-fly. Would have been nice if included! As mentioned by others, that big pouch on front is likely going to be emptied to lay on the mat, IF you carry hard, bulky items in there. Other, minimal, pouches inside cover most needs directly related to the rifle anyway. Backpack function is nicely done. I'll use the mat at times, no doubt. I won't have much need to drag it, but the added strap gives another handle and the overall intention bodes well for durability. I can understand it looking too nice for some to want to drag... ...but the bag would gather debris inside if you did... ...UNLESS modified. Velcro strip across mat gives flexibility in where you place the two, larger interior pouches and might allow you to get creative in making additional gear pouches. Now you know.
Pros: Materials, overall design. Coyote Tan looks great.
Cons: Does notfully close, buth rather folds around rifle

Mat is wide enough, even for tall guy. Friction surface. Would like to see some molle straps inside and outside (covered). Bag doesn't enclose fully so debris gets inside during drag.
Pros: Well Built, Easily Deployed, Comfortable
Cons: Expensive, Rifle not fully enclosed
