My Thoughts About the Serpa Drop Leg Holster
I've spent six years in the United States Army. Of those six years I've carried a sidearm for approximately two years. The first nine months I carried a Fobus hip holster that I liked a lot. The problem was that it wasn't conducive to putting on body armor quickly. I spent some time browsing the int...

Blackhawk Tactical SERPA Hoster (drop leg) - Great Holster - Very Secure
I bought the Blackhawk Tactical SERPA Hoster (drop leg) for my S&W M&P .45 auto (full sized) to carry while deer hunting in what has become predator habitat. It's a great holster: I can adjust it to ride fairly high so I can walk long distances easier, and the high front shroud/shield on the holster protects my front sight. Like all of the Blackhawk SERPA's it can fit the quick disconnect adapter so I can put my 1911 SERPA holster on the same platform with ease. It holds my S&W M&P .45 auto really securely. The straps (both the drop straps and the thigh straps) have lots of adjustment and double buckle/keepers to hold the straps in place and not loosen. The thigh straps thread through the platform in such a way as to pad the platform from your leg a little. The SERPA retention system holds my pistol (with a 14 round extended cap mag) very securely. It's much tougher and more secure than a soft nylon drop leg holster.
Pros:
- Comfortable
- Adjustability
- - Secure
- Locking mechanism (retention)
- Can accomodate a mag case
- Wears like iron
Cons:
- None

Best used Drop holster
More stable than any other drop holster I have ever used. More stability due to the dual hip straps and leg straps. Does not flop around when running and still versatile with adjustable straps. Will see after next FTX how well it actually holds up but very pleased so far.

Great Product! Great Price! Great Service!
This is exactly the name brand product I was looking for but could not afford. I received the BlsckHawk thigh rig sooner than expected and at a price much lower than any other vendor. The product performs as well as expected and the adjustability exceeds my expectations. Combining great products with great prices and great service earns a committed customer.
Pros:
- Product quality, great price, fast delivery.
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- Tactical applications as well as for carrying hand guns on the rifle range.
- Any open carry situation.

Great holster.
Got the holster today in OD Green for the 1911. I have a Springfield Range Officer, and it fits great. I did research on the Blackhawk website and it says it's for 1911 Colts and most clones. I took a risk and was not disappointed. You can sit comfortably, kneel, and drive with this holster. Its very green. Sort of a dark OD Green.

Serpa holster
Great holster straight out of the box, very easy to adjust to fit thigh and adjust position either hi or low and fits well without excessive movement. Pistol is held very secure while very easy to draw fast. would recommend this product to anyone.

good holster
plastic quality is good and is not easily breakable, gun is insured and not vibrating on the foot because of plastic platform, belts do not damage easily and have a very good grip on the leg .

Blalckhawk
This holster is everything it made out to be. The tension screw has to be adjusted but that's to be expected. Put the pistol where it needs to be and has a smooth operation. If you want the pistol carried on the upper thigh, you won't go wrong.
