Fits correctly into a standard mil-spec front sight post. The shape and color are accurate to the picture. The "Luminescent Contrast Stripe" works but only after "charging" it for a couple of seconds with a bright light aimed directly into it at close range. So it's "luminescent" in that way, and is really bright after absorbing light from another source, but don't expect to be able to use these in any real low light scenario like a set of TruGlo/Tritium sights.
The colored front post can help for some people in acquiring a sight picture, so I recommend it for that, but if you're looking for a something for real low light scenarios, this is probably not it.
Pros:
- fit correctly, nice shape and color
Cons:
- not as bright as expected

Did just fine in the a2 post. Definitely grabs the eye when you get behind the sight. Only thing to worry about is if you don't have elevation on the rear peep then your adjustments will be vary course do to the design, it's made and designed well but should be considered.

works well on my colt AR15-A4 perfect fit, plug and play (adjustment). only painted on one side of the "spike. you must turn the spike post 360 degrees to be able to use the painted side for aiming and sighting the target. overall still well pleased with this product, good for my ageing eyes.
Pros:
- well made

Don't confuse Blitzkrieg with being a WW2 term. Look at it as a battle prozen name of fear. This sight post during the day is an apparent visual aid, and at night, it's a beacon of business. When I bring it in, I just say "hello". Mounted on an offset, so when the battery dies on my night vision, I still have a shot in the dark. Thanx OpticsPlanet.

Love these front sight posts, have the yellow one on two of my ARs. Really helps me pick up the front post against darker backgrounds. I live in the Pacific Northwest, it’s often dim and cloudy and I’m shooting against dark backgrounds. Great product!

Installs super easy with a front sight tool, looks and fits perfectly on my retro build with A2 front post. Paint is bright and on both sides, and the point it comes to is very fine and accurate. A great upgrade for the money.

Ordered Spike front post with tritium dot. Pictured is a Trijicon sight, shipped an off brand sight to my home. Seems to work, still has tritium dot. But it is in fact a knockoff of the Trijicon pictured. Such a let down
Cons:
- Sent off brand sight in place of Trijicon
