My favorite med kit! - Blue Force Gear Medium Trauma Kit, Empty

I've tried other med kits in the past, and didn't like most of them because they wouldn't tear off or rip away from where you have them mounted, and one of the lower cost rip away kits I tried was just terrible quality out of the bag with poor stitching and uneven molle. I already had the BFG micro trauma kit, which I love, but wanted something that would hold more supplies, and this solves that need. It takes up more room on my belt than other kits I've tried, but I get more items in this kit.

So what all did I fit inside the kit? Glad you asked. I was able to kit a pair of vented chest seals, 1 CAT tourniquet, 1 Mylar blanket, combat gauze, compressed gauze, 1 6" Israeli bandage, 2 pairs of nitrile gloves, chapstick container with 3' ft of duct tape wrapped around it, and trauma shears. I could still include a decompression needle and airway, but I don't have the training to properly use these products. I was also thinking about switching out my 6" bandage for 2 4" bandages. And you can still add an additional tourniquet with the tourniquet now strap to the outside. This is truly an amazing piece of kit with many different configuration options to suit your needs.
