Not the same as it used to be.

Written on Dec 06, 2019

I have a couple of older Taco's and they have the traditional MOLLE attachment method. The issue with the latest version is they switched the MOLLE to new laser cut MOLLE, and the openings aren't wide enough to accommodate traditional Malice Clips. On mine the laser cuts were uneven on both sides and one was wider than the other, but neither would allow a Malice Clip to go through. I ended up getting the Fight Light Malice Clips through. You might wonder why I use Malice Clips instead of the provided HSGI clips, and it's because the Malice Clips are superior and less likely to deform from routing through the MOLLE. Still a solid pouch, I am just not happy with the update to the laser cut MOLLE attachment system.

Needs to be refined.

Written on May 08, 2019

I think this is decent optic overall. I love its size and light weight. With mine I noticed the glass has a blue tint while looking through the optic indoors, but I don't notice the tint outdoors. My biggest issue with this optic are the mushy windage and elevation adjustments. On my Aimpoint PRO the adjustments are very tactile and I can feel them with each click. On the MRO I'm left guessing if I moved the adjustment 4 or 5 clicks due to not being able to feel them as well as the Aimpoint. I have a Trijicon Accupower and adjustments on that optic are very tactile and noticeable. I really wanted to buy another MRO recently, but went to another Aimpoint. If Trijicon can get the adjustments to be more tactile and have clearer glass, I would buy another one.

My favorite Med Kit!

Written on May 25, 2018

I've tried other med kits in the past, and didn't like most of them because they wouldn't tear off or rip away from where you have them mounted, and one of the lower cost rip away kits I tried was just terrible quality out of the bag with poor stitching and uneven molle. I already had the BFG micro trauma kit, which I love, but wanted something that would hold more supplies, and this solves that need. It takes up more room on my belt than other kits I've tried, but I get more items in this kit.

So what all did I fit inside the kit? Glad you asked. I was able to kit a pair of vented chest seals, 1 CAT tourniquet, 1 Mylar blanket, combat gauze, compressed gauze, 1 6" Israeli bandage, 2 pairs of nitrile gloves, chapstick container with 3' ft of duct tape wrapped around it, and trauma shears. I could still include a decompression needle and airway, but I don't have the training to properly use these products. I was also thinking about switching out my 6" bandage for 2 4" bandages. And you can still add an additional tourniquet with the tourniquet now strap to the outside. This is truly an amazing piece of kit with many different configuration options to suit your needs.

Best Shotgun Stock There Is

Written on Mar 21, 2018

Magpul hit another home run with these shotgun stock sets. Installation is a breeze, and the functionality is top notch. Having the adjustable length of pull in the stocks is a game changer, and allows you to adapt the system to fit you. When the stocks first came out I thought they were ugly, and would never buy one. Then I held a shotgun in my hands that was outfitted with one of these sets and I was sold. Another great feature is the cheek riser. I have been thinking about adding one of these sets to my hunting shotgun as well.

Great Sling, but the OD is off.

Written on Apr 25, 2017

Let me start by saying that the Padded Vickers sling is one of, if not, the best sling on the market. This is my second one I have, but I'll be selling it because the OD Green color is very light and almost looks faded. I cannot recommend the OD color to you because it does not compare to other OD Green items I have. I would recommend this sling in any of the other colors.

Great holster!

Written on Oct 23, 2015

Like all of the other Galco products this is a great little holster. I like that you can adjust the carry height of the holster with the screws and belt clips. It is also very comfortable and conceals really well. It is definitely worth the price tag, especially when you can get it on sale.
