As with all Bob Allen products, the quality is excellent. However, I would not consider them shooting gloves because they are too bulky. Also, the fit wasn’t perfect; the fingers are a little too long. These are very warm gloves for that purpose, but not for high-quality shooting. Many years ago, I had Bob Allen insulated shooting gloves. The insulation was thinner than these and the leather was thinner. The gloves were almost like a second skin. I considered those to be true shooting gloves for cool weather shooting when I used to shoot skeet. Unfortunately, they don’t make those anymore. I probably should’ve ordered small instead of medium; however , these work just fine for general cold-weather gloves.

I wear them all winter (not just for shooting). Soft, comfortable, easy to move (your fingers) in (good sensitivity and touch) & good looking (I have 5 pairs). Not for extreme cold, of course, but for everyday winter use around town they’re great. And good for cold weather shooting too (happy bonus).

I normally wear a size small and my worn out Cabela's brand insulated shooting gloves are labeled small and they are a perfect fit. They are no longer available so I ordered these. I unpacked them and they looked like nice gloves but I couldn't possibly get my hand in them and if I did manage to get them on it was obvious the fingers were a half inch to long. I returned them for a refund. If I order a size that my hand would fit into the fingers would be even longer. Chinese must have skinny hands with long fingers.

I think the Bob Allen gloves are the best for shooting. They fit snug but not too tight and give the flexability needed for shell and trigger handeling. I am more than happy with my pruchase and OP had a good price on them.

These gloves are great! They can be worn for every day use in cold weather and for shooting gloves when it is too cold for uninsulated gloves. I have a pair that are at least 29 years old and they finally wore out.
Pros:
- You can shoot with them on

I have had a large black pair of these for at least 15 years I forget exactly when I got them. They are the only gloves I would ever wear for hunting or a combat situation when I need to be prepared to shoot at any time. For me they are a perfect compromise of a good feel on the trigger yet some comfort for my hands in the cold. These are the only gloves I have ever found that do that. If I ever buy another pair I might try the extra large as the large are a bit snug but my preference would be the snug fit and keep the good finger dexterity.

I've had a pair of black Bob Allen gloves for years and really like them. I've been looking for a brown pair, you had them, and I ordered a pair in my difficult to find 3 XL size. Thanks, they are quality gloves that are warm and fit perfectly.

I got these for the brother in law and I used them for a day during a quail hunt. great gloves. I immediately got onine and ordered a pair. They are perfect for mild weather bird hunting. Briars and such weren't an problem with these fellas.

I was hoping these would be thin enough to use comfortably in handling revolvers and automatics in cold weather. It is not quite thin enough on my big hands (3X)to get a fast sure hold inside the trigger guard. That being said, they are excellent winter gloves for anything else. The insulation is more than suffficient but still not too bulky. It would appear that I must move to an uninsulated shooting glove to get some protection from the elements and still be able to draw and fire the handgun effectively.
