Most Helpful Positive Review Exactly as advertised
I have a Bog Pod "Red Legged Devil", which is good but I'm going to be using a heavy rifle, scope, and IR light, so I wanted something a little more "heavy duty". I ordered the Death Grip Tripod and it seems to be more than twice what the "Red Legged Devil" is. It is more than capable of holding my ...

Most Helpful Negative Review broke before I ever got to use it
so the legs broke while in the 85 setting. everything was fine till I set my 16LB precision rifle into the clamp then I noticed the legs sag down till the bottom of the center column was touching the the ground. I noticed 2 of the legs did not lock into the 85 position and were folding up under the...

Must Have Tripod

by Matt P, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on November 18, 2025
If you shoot outdoors this is a must have. Very lightweight and is compact enough to carry out into the field. Creates a very solid shooting platform for those long range shots. I like the ability to lock the legs at different angles depending on if I am standing or sitting. I am 6'2" and at full height it is easy to shoot from without and crouching or what not.
Pros:
  • Lightweight
  • Sturdy
  • Portability
Cons:
  • None

Death grip

by Steven Jackonski, Verified Owner from FL, United States Written on November 1, 2025
This tripod is exactly what I needed. I use it often for laser bore sighting and shooting both air guns and conventional firearms. Very heavy duty and a stable platform for everyone.

Bog death grip

by Richard, Verified Owner from IN, United States Written on October 31, 2025
I've only practiced with it so far. I'm going to try ball mount conversion kit. I'm 66 and would like a little more stability at 300 to 500 yard shots with 22-250. I may be asking for to much.

Bog Deathhrip Bipod

by Jess, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on September 16, 2025
Amazing tripod to greatly increase accuracy. Well built, and can stand heavy use for range shooting. Not ideal for those looking for light tripod to carry when hunting. There is a carbon fiber version of this product

BOG Death Grip Not Too shabby!

by Joe L, Verified Owner from NY, United States Written on June 15, 2025
Nice beefy construction definitely not something I would be carrying around for a prolonged time but solid! My only suggestion is getting a BALLHEAD Conversion Kit to make this perfect.

Excellent Design - I was Pleasantly Surprised

by Chiselcst, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on April 26, 2025
This is an incredible tripod. I was surprised at how many features it has and how well it functions. It is a great value. I love the fact that you can adjust the angle of the tripod legs, that gives a person a lot more options if there's restricted space for the tripod location. And it actually does have a death grip! It functions very well, and you can just feel that it's a quality well built product.
Pros:
  • The ability to make so many adjustments
Cons:
  • i can't think of any
  • I cannot think of any
Best Used for:
  • It can be used in virtually any shooting situation

Pros:
  • easy to use
  • solid
  • easy to upgrade
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Shooters
  • spotter

Great Product

by Jake, Verified Owner from NY, United States Written on March 9, 2025
Have had several tripods but have found this to be the best. It is very rugged and easy to use. I am at the range twice a week and in the field whenever weather permits so the tripod gets well used. Field conditions aren’t always the best but with the easy adjustable legs it’s very forgiving. The product shines when I shoot at the 500 yard range. I can’t say enough good about it.
