Great Tripod Mount
This thing is awesome for a tripod mounted spotting scope. I use it for a small tactical spotter with a ranging reticle. It works very good for scanning and locking in on targets for observation and ranging. The shape makes it easy to pack and carry around. I leave it on the tripod and it fits into a spotting scope bag or mounted to a pack, but if you needed it to pack up more you can take it off the tripod and put it inside a pack.
The only problem I have is finding extra quick release mounts that work. Bog did have a two pack of extra quick release mounts but they discontinued them.
