Most Helpful Negative Review Great quality, poor fitment
This is the second Boyds product I've purchased. The first was years ago a stock set to replace worn out wood on an old 1200 shotgun. The stock was cut wrong and didn't even come close to lining up so I returned it. It had been a while so I ordered this for my Remington 700 and this gun stock did not fit where the holes would line up. I spent an hour or 2 filing the inside to make it right. It looks great now and feels solid now, just be aware in my experience these have not bolt on items...

Rem700 ADL

Took a little bit of time to get the stock. Worth the wait. Stock looks great and feels great. The stock is way lighter than expected. The fit was good and thighs where it should be and the barrel doesn’t touch till you make it to the chamber. Can’t wait for the weather to break so I can get out and shoot some coyotes.

Very happy with the stock.

It takes a little effort to sand the barrel channel, blind mag area, and trigger slot to get a perfect fit. I glass bedded the action and am super happy with the accuracy. It’s on my 30-06 and kicks like a mule. I shot a .351” three shot group at 100 yards the first outing, along with a 1.341” three shot group at 200 yards. I recommend considering a thicker recoil pad if you are using this on a high recoil rifle.

Near Perfect Fit

Bought this for my wife’s .243 Win. The stock is hands down the best fitting aftermarket stock I’ve purchased. I’m still going to trim it a little and glass bed it for a perfect fit, but if you aren’t a perfectionist it is a true even swap for any factory stock.
