Rough finished stock - Boyds Hardwood Gunstocks Featherweight Thumbhole Savage Axis/Edge Detachable Box Mag Short Action Factory Barrel Channel Stock

The stock is for a hunting rifle build so I don’t need a high level finish. I was not impressed with the splinters and the roughness. Anything that was not exposed needed hand sanded. In my build it doesn’t matter because I am glass bedding the rifle. The fit was good for the barrel and action swap. The finished exterior had a few dents in the stock. It doesn’t bother me because this rifle will be drug through the brush.
