I have always wanted a thumbhole stock.. and this stock fit the bill. It needed a lil bit of clean up which if you do alot of reading about them. Some do some dont.. it took a lil bit of fitting not a problem at all..but the only reason for 4 star instead of 5 was its got some lil imperfections threw out the stock and finish. But im using it for a hunting rig so it dont matter as much if it was a safe queen.. the stock shoulders great,feels great in the thumbhole aera. My groups got even tighter long as i do my part.. this stock along with a burris 3x9x40 e1 is an amazing and awesome package... shipping and packaging was quick also great job optics planet

I was very pleased with the rifle stock. Fit like it was supposed to and arrived just two days after ordering even though I had selected standard free shipping (5-10 day). I'm only giving this a four star, and this is not on Optic Planet, the green in the stock is much lighter than the picture shows. Almost a lime green. Might be a little thing. Would give a 4.5 if possible. Still very happy with my experience with Optic Planet

The stock arrived well packaged, better than most things that I have ordered. Shipping was fast enough and on tine. The stock itself is well made and good fit to the action. I replaced all the plastic that comes with the stock. For the price of the stock it should not come with plastic parts that will need to be replaced. All and all I'm happy with the stock. Pillars and glass bedding will be next when I have some time.

The stock arrived in a timely manner. I must say it was very well packaged, there was no way for it to get damaged in transit. The fit and finish is outstanding for a mass production stock.My barreled action fit perfectly. For the price of this stock on sale it was a good deal to me. I am removing all of the plastic parts and replacing them with aluminum to include the pillars.

The stock is for a hunting rifle build so I don’t need a high level finish. I was not impressed with the splinters and the roughness. Anything that was not exposed needed hand sanded. In my build it doesn’t matter because I am glass bedding the rifle. The fit was good for the barrel and action swap. The finished exterior had a few dents in the stock. It doesn’t bother me because this rifle will be drug through the brush.

It was a little difficult to find what I needed. I ordered the wrong stock first. Optics planet exchanged the stock for the correct one, no questions asked. Free return shipping, no extra charges, and very rapid return. Now I have the correct stock and I absolutely love it. It's a perfect fit and looks great!!

This stock came just as described. It was packaged safely and securely. There were no scratches or dings, which provided a stylish and rugged finish. It’s much better than the polymer stock that came with the rifle. Needless to say the original stock had to be replaced due to falling out of a tree stand and breaking. It was time for an upgrade. This stock fits tightly and you can see the detail to fit the action and barrel. Plus the barrel is free floating, so it should help with accuracy. This is my second Boyd’s stock, the first is an At-One stock, and I am extremely pleased with the products. Thank you for doing great work on rugged, reliable and beautiful stocks. I will look at Boyd’s if I need to replace one on another rifle. Great price everything works great. Optics Planet does a great job. The stock was delivered when expected. Boyds stocks have always been a great upgrade to any gun. Easy to swap out the cheap plastic factory stock.

This is a beautiful stock, purchased in Pepper color. Needed some sanding as the fit with the Savage Axis was too tight. Needed to remove material along the barrel channel to prevent contact. Also the bolt release mechanism did not operate properly as it was too tight in the stock. Overall a great upgrade to the synthetic stocks that come on most rifles these days. After a good bedding should help accuracy of the rifle.
