Boyds thumbhole stock for Weatherby long action
My weatherby .270 fit perfectly. The recoil pad is useless for anything above a 6.5 Creedmore. Cut half inch off stock and added a Limbsaver pad. If you pillar bed like I do, be very careful if you enlarge rear action screw hole as there is not much wood in that location. New stock is a nice fit and feels great in the hands. THIS FREE FLOATS YOUR wEATHERBY SO YOU WILL NEED TO SIGHT IN YOUR SCOPE AGAIN. DO NOT BE SURPRISED THAT YOUR RIFLE LIKES DIFFERENT AMMO THAN BEFORE. Mine hated Hornady PH before, but prefers it over all others now. I recommend this stock if you are handy with tools for recoil pad change. You will save around 100 dollars compared to buying from Boyds.

thumbhole stock
After receiving my new Boyd’s thumbhole stock opening the box was eye taking very nice finish to stock. Had no problems installing new stock to my old 300 weatherby vg I’d had for many years. After installing on old gun the new stock felt wonderful in my hands. The thumbhole was a very big improvement to my gun.
