A Decent Product
Purchased for my Savage Axis with a heavy barrel. The barrel channel was a bit tight so I had to sand it to ensure that it was truly floated. While I was sanding it I took the opportunity to change the color. I wasn't thrilled with the black paint that boyd's uses... its not truly flat and had a little shininess to it.
Also, there is a red bead that is the safety indicator that should sit under the movement of the safety. It wasn't properly seated in the stock and sat so high that it prevented the safety to be engaged. I remove it and reset it flush with the stock and now it works perfectly.
I like the stock... its a bit heavy but still usable. If the Magpul stock is ever released then I'll probably move to that one.
