this stock upgrade was highly recommended to me buy a couple of special forces operators, heres why. 1. cut back style on the butt fits better into the shoulder pocket, naturally. enough said. 2. squeeze style length adjustment does not allow for accidental stock shift or hang-up/snag. 3. ambidextrous QD sling attach w/webbing cut-out. keeps end of sling in place easier. big plus.(alt. slots for sling mounts) 4. my favorite. Great butt stock, used to run Daniel Defense furniture until I gave these a try. 10/10 recommend!
Great cheek well and consistent sight picture.
While running a plate carrier fits great on the shoulder pocket, it doesn’t get in the way of your plate carrier.

sopmod2 my go to

This is my second sopmod2, BCM stocks fit perfect, no wobble or slop, has a nice cheek weld thats not in the way, I've tried numerous top brands over the years and BCM has become my go for almost all my rifles.

Pof rogue .308

The stock stock for the 308 rogue was alright though one of the qd attachments didn't work. Swapped for this stock and the wobble was taken out, qd machining was tighter qa and qc. The extra weld for the cheek placement is nice. The lever to slide is well made and easy to manipulate. Easily makes the over all rifle feel more premium.

One of my favorite stocks available right now

I have 4 or 5 of these. I have gone out of my way to sell other models just so I can buy this one. If you run an A5/Intermediate buffer tube, this is the stock to get IMO. Great fit on mil-spec tubes, easy adjustments, and love that cheek weld. Pretty light piece too given the features. Highly recommend.

BCM Mod 2 SOPMOD Stock

I've been using the non-SOPMOD BCM stock for a number of years, and I wanted something with a bit more cheek support for my M1A with Vltor improved modstock system. Previously I was using a Vltor modstock on it, but wanted an updated look. The Mod 2 SOPMOD was the ticket, and the cheek weld was improved for me over the non-SOPMOD version. I also like the semi-clubfoot profile of the Mod 2 as it give the support hand more to hold onto, when shooting from prone with a bipod. It's also less likely to slip off a beanbag if you put one under it vs. the Mod 0 which comes to a point.

The BCM stocks need a tool (allen wrench, rod, punch) that goes through the hole on the lever to install and remove from the receiver extension - that's the only small inconvenience.
Pros:

  • Very solid feeling
Cons:
  • Can be a bit tight on the receiver extension until it gets some use
  • Needs a tool to install and remove
Best Used for:
  • Full size battle rifles, SPRs
