Hard bases to get - Browning Two Piece Weaver Style Bases

The other reviewer must of ordered the wrong bases. The way optics planet has there product view set up is tricky. You need to click each item specifically to change it to the item you want specifically. It is easy to get mixed up when ordering unfortunately. But either way I ordered the browning AB3 specific two piece weaver style bases for my browning AB3 30-06. I got them the other day and checked the screw size right away, and they fit, yesssss finally. I know browning wanted to go with the bigger 8-40 size screw for better scope mounting but my god has it been a nightmare trying to find these bases. Apparently only browning (tally) and Leupold make these bases with the bigger screw size for my rifle. You can't order from leupold as they are "sold out" and you are lucky to find them online if you do. Same story from browning. Although when I found these bases on optics planet I called browning to double check they are the correct bases for my specific gun. Browning confirmed they are the correct bases for my gun and come to find out Talley makes all of brownings bases and rings for them, and optics planet is a main wholesaler for browning products. So if you ever need browning products check here first, they do seem to have a lot of browning products. Now after you have read my rant, again these are the correct bases for the browning AB3 rifle. Just make sure the bases you order says browning AB3 or browning ABIII as there are 3-4 different model bases for different model browning rifles.
