great knife
Its a great knife, the best bang for your buck. I highly recommend this particular knife because it is both well built and it feels sturdy in the hand. I have received a lot of compliments, when I have shown it to my friends and co workers... Its an over all good working knife.
Nice blade
I received this in no time flat (very pleased). This particular knife had a excellent feel in the hand, (just a bit heavy ) and came with a good factory edge. And looked really nice. Hope it holds up to everyday carry. I will soon know. Seems to be a really decent inexpensive knife.

Black Label Checkmate - Great budget knife
My first Browning Black Label knife. Very impressed with the fit and finish. A little big and heavy for an EDC but I'm mainly a collector so not an issue for me. Only minor criticism would be that the liner lock tab protrudes beyond the handle a bit much and I can see that it could start biting into the fingers after awhile. Really like the Optics Planet exclusive silver blade. Seriously considering getting the std prod versions now as well.

nice but a little heavy
for the price and that it was on sale it's a great knife it's a little heavy but the blade is sharp but made in china , so we will see how love the edge lasts, so far have cut baling twine and many boxes, can't complain

Excellent value
This knife is an excellent value. It arrived sharp, holds an edge, and can be sharpened again with minimal fuss. I have found it to be easy to handle. It opens smoothly without a substantial break-in period and fits my fairly average-sized hands well.

It's a Browning
Every Browning product I have had the pleasure to hold in my hand is obvious quality, you just know it. this knife has that good feel to it. I like this knife so well I bought two of them, one for me one for my son.

Solid purchase
Looks great, feels sturdy, came out of box sharp, and the price was right.
I bought it mainly just to have in my car aside from just a multitool. The browning name and dual tone drew me to this one and I had to pick it up after seeing the price. I did a quick sharpness test and it lived through both paper and cardboard with ease. Lock up, centering, and finish are all great. I recommend this one!

Good Knife, Great Price
Although this knife is made in China it is clear that Browning has kept a watchful eye on quality control. It fits the hand perfectly and the finish is excellent. It locks open with a positive and audible click. When closed, the blade rests exactly in the center of the handle and is very sharp and beefy. Looks and feels like it was designed for heavy duty use. A little stiff when opening but that should correct itself after break-in. If the thumb stud was slightly taller I would have given it 5 stars.

Browning Checkmate Knife
I was looking for a knife with some distinctive qualities for a Christmas present for my brother as well as for my self. This certainly was the Browning Checkmate. I received the knives from Dvor.com several weeks ago and am well pleased with appearance and build quality; what's even more impressive is that the price of the knife from Dvor was less than half the cost of what Sportsman's Guide was advertising the knife for, at their "clearance price".
Have been a regular and frequent customer of Dvor.com for well over a year and have not been disappointed with their product offerings.

Browning Checkmate
Bought this knife to have a knife to hang on my belt or jeans. Knife is real solid and blade is tight in the frame. Thinking of ordering another one for my son, like it that much. Never owned a Browning knife, it won't be my last. Very happy with this purchase.
