Most Helpful Positive Review Fantastic Knife, Unbeatable Price
I'm not a guy who spends much on folding knives typically. Anytime I need one for the house, the garage, or the car I would just grab something for less than $10, use it for a bit until it was dull and then toss it. When I saw the new OPMOD Folding Knives though, I thought I'd give them a shot. Wow. What a world I've been missing. The first thing you'll find when you get this knife is that it comes in a very sleek OPMOD/Browning black box. I keep mine right in that box. When you pull it out, it is SHARP. Too often inexpensive folding knives are fairly dull from the minute you get them, but ...

It is what it is.

Nice knife for the money. Love the desert color. I wasn't really in thet market for a knife but the Browning name and price caught my eye. Very pleased with the quality and price ratio. Gave it to my son in the Air Force to put in his ruck sack. This knife is small enough to carry in a pocket with the supplied clip and be very comfortable.

Well worth the price

by Ed, from TX, United States Written on March 11, 2015
Not a fantastic blade, but for under $20 I wasn't expecting a Zero Tolerance clone either. Not particularly sharp when I received it, but that isn't a huge issue since I tend to want to put my own edge on a blade anyway.

This will probably go to my daughter as a general purpose utility / camping knife. The lock is so-so, but functional.

Great folding knife

by Sean, from MA, United States Written on December 30, 2014
Very well built, slim design doesn't get in the way of being in your pocket. Came sharp out of the box and has kept it's edge through everything I've put it through. The ergo grip is also pretty sweet, holds comfortably in your hand.

opmod knife

by mlk, from OK, United States Written on December 21, 2014
Not sure the steel in this of good quality. May not hold an edge very well. Tried to put an edge on it when I first receive it and it never really felt sharp. Used it to open some cardboard boxes and could tell it wasn't sharp. Maybe it's just really hard steel, but I don't think so. For a little more $ there are better knives. Price may tell you what its worth.

Nice feel in the hand. handle seems to be nonslip. stiff to open but as you work it it gets easier but this knife doesn't have a lock feature. the description says it has a lock but its junk as far as i am concerned.

good blade

by spec, Verified Owner from GA, United States Written on August 28, 2014
i like most aspects of this knife but there is one thing that bothers me. being left handed i wanted to move or remove the clip but on both knives i bought i found that the screws holding the clip were completely stripped in what used to be their hex heads. it was as if they used an impact wrench to put in those screws while all the other screws are pristine.

Mixed Feelings

by beb0541, Verified Owner from FL, United States Written on August 24, 2014
Mixed Feeling upon first interaction. Stiff opening and lock up is not audible or tactile which makes you have to double check. Knife is definitely designed for those with small hands. Blade is sharp and its light weight. I would say its great to have in a gear bag but this would not be a piece of equipment I trust my life with. The saying generally holds true "you get what you pay for".
