This is a very accurate unit,and as such,takes time and patience to set up.But once set up is complete,it is right on the button.Because it is in a vehicle,you have to give it time to settle if you have been on curvy,winding,or bumpy roads.This is an excellent unit,the best I have tried so far!
Pros: Excellent readability,highly accurate
Cons: Takes alot of patience to set up,as it is very sensitive

Just one problem

The compass is installed with two screws which require two small brass threaded pieces, but these had fallen into the body out of sight. Had to place pieces of tape on them --when I found them!-- to hold them in place while screwing in the compass. Instructions should mention this possibility.
Pros: A quality product
Cons: installation instructions incomplete

Great item, but as the little warning note states, the adjustment screws are sensitive. Actually they are very, very sensitive and it is challenging to adjust them finely enough to get it just right. Apart from that, a great product.
Pros: Good size, mount, easy to read
Cons: Hypersenstitive adjustments make setup hard

Brunton Vehicle Rally Lighted Black Compass

Permanent and/or detachable bracket. Mounts vertically, horizontally, upside down or anywhere in between. Maximum tilting angle of 20 degrees in any directtion. Direct reading scale. Built-in red LED illumination for 12V. The Red LED light is dark blood red. It looks really nice. Length of illumination cable is 400mm. Built-in adjustable compensation magnets for B- and C- coefficients. That is compensation is made with the two compensation adjuster screws "E/W" and "N/S" in order to reduce errors caused by iron objects like motors of windscreen wipers or stereo speakers etc.
Pros: Mounts in any position. Tilting angle of up to 20 degrees in any directions. Built-in adjustable compensation magnets for the B- and C- coefficients, Built-in dark red LED illumination for 12V. The LED light is dark blood red, it looks really nice
Cons: Nil
Would recommend: Yes
