Alternative to watch altimeter: Brunton ADC Pro Altimeter Barometer Compass ADC-PRO

After failure of 2 watch units that try to do everything I needed something much more reliable.
I am a map and compass guy, ultra light, cross country, speed backer. GPS take way too much time and fiddling.
Altimeters are essential to locating were I am.
I like this unit a lot.
Pros:
  • None
Cons:
  • It may be a bit delicate. Time will tell.
Best Used for:
  • Corordinating map possition.

Excellent accessory for long range shooting

Many of us today are familiar with devices using buttons for Mode etc. Such familiarity will help when operating the ADC Pro.

Pros: Easy to read, multifunction device that provides tons of information on the your environment.

Good device

If you looking to use this for long range shooting then i would suggest a separate wind speed device as the brunton doesnt pick up wind speed accurately and will not pick up slower speed wind, possible due to the tiny propeller size and drag inside the device.
Pros: Has everything you need
Cons: Unable to read wind well

This give you the extra information to make better decisions and have more data to put in Sierra Infinity I6 software for those long shots!
Pros: Does much more than other less expensive products for long range shooting.
