Most Helpful Positive Review Excellent optics, good design, but heavy
I have used these LRF binos for three months now, and here are my impressions. First off, this is a very good looking pair of LRF binoculars. It is in the same price range as Sig Kilo, but looks and feels much more refined and elegant in hand by comparison. The lens optical design has all the bells and whistles, so clarity is super crisp with tiny amount of fringing. Other LRF binos have pretty heavy color tint to reflect the HUD digits, but these do no seem to have any major color tint that make it look yellow or blue. Picture color is very neutral to my eyes. FOV is above average (334 ...

Burris rangefinder binoculars

by Todd Meyer, Verified Owner from MO, United States Written on July 2, 2025
Rangefinder is great!! The optics part well not so great. Personally I can find as good of glass in a $250 pair of binoculars. Had I had a chance to actually look thru them before ordering I might have selected something else in Rangefinding binoculars. Haven’t had a chance to look thru at low light hours but I know when I can’t count the stickers and smaller points on a whitetail deer at 400 yards in daylight I’m guessing they don’t get better at sun rise and sunset.
Pros:
  • Rangefinder is excellent
Cons:
  • Glass is mediocre

Burris LRF 10x42

by Cliff Odum, Verified Owner from GA, United States Written on March 16, 2025
Purchased this for NRL Hunter competition and hunting. First match this weekend and got the wrong range result several times. RO looked them and checked my settings and got the same result I did saying the target was at 475 yards. It was actually 540 yards. Love my Burris Xtr iii scopes but the quality of this rangefinder is not the same quality as xtr scopes. My 2 cents.

price for performance!

Ok, i have not yet had a chance to take these to a mile range yet, so here's my review of what I've seen so far.
Binos are heavy. But, if it equipment you need binoculars and range finder worth it.
I shot distances from my house to 1378 yards house and metal building. Max range of anything i can see from my house. Was able to shoot ranges on trees and utility poles out to max visual range of 878 yards.
It had zero problems ranging these on a standard semi overcast day. Used a tripod mount because i struggled to stay on targets.
Response is instant in all cases. Glass was good from whatvi saw thru my 62 year old eyes that have used cheap glass most of ny life. Did not notice any tint issues like i do on my old SIG Kilo2000 LRF. Menu is really easy to navigate after reading the manual. The many display modes makes it great to custimize the info you want to see. I bought this to replace the SIG rangefinder and use for spotting in NRL22 matches. I also want to be able to range steel unpainted(aka shot up) at 1 mile. I have yet to verify it will do either. I am however optimistic it will handle the dual purpose jobs. I would say it's worth the cost. I have never been a Burris fan, but i have alway found they make solid products.

Great Glass

I have The Athlon cronos 10 x 42, And my son has the vortex vipers 10 x 42 and these are a lot more clear than both of them. I do believe they’re on par with the vortex razors.
The rangefinder is simple enough to use.

Excellent, but take some getting used to

by Captain122, Verified Owner from SC, United States Written on August 21, 2024
I’ve always wanted a pair of range finding binoculars. These are excellent. Comparing them to my Vortex 10 x 50 side-by-side at twilight, the Vortex has a very slight edge. Very slight. My hunting partner couldn’t tell the difference. But incorporating the range finding capabilities in an binocular beats everything. The magnification is higher, the image is steadier, it’s easier to look through with both eyes, and it’s extremely accurate. I compared it against two other rangefinders and it’s spot on the money. The main drawback is the weight. They are lighter than a comparable pair of binoculars plus a separate rangefinder, but that really only matters when you are carrying them in a harness. Holding them in your hand they feel very dense. But once I finished a long morning in the tree stand, I wasn’t really noticing the difference. One curious thing that took me a little while to figure out. I noticed that it looked like the ranging display was crooked in the ocular. Couldn’t possibly imagine how that was true. Realized that I actually hold my head at a slight tilt (which most people do). Concentrate on holding your head straight up and down and everything levels out. You would never notice this in a normal rangefinder that you’re only holding up to one eye. So all in all, highly recommended.

Love this rangefinder!

by Brad, from CO, United States Written on March 14, 2024
I purchased this rangefinder to replace a Leupold rangefinder that I lost while hunting. So far I have found that it is the equivalent of my old scope in every way, but it cost quite a bit less. I love the red led display and have found that by adjusting the brightness, I can make make the display very easy to read in any light condition. Everything is very simple and to my knowledge seems extremely accurate. It is super quick with it's calculations and although I have only so far used it to read out to around 1100' yards, it has calculated those distances very quickly and had no issues picking up my targets. I have been impressed with the quality of all Burris products and would recommend them to anyone.
