Great product
This is a great product and keeps me from burning my booger pickers which makes me very happy. I highly recommend that you know the width of your suppressor before buying this product as it is only rated for 1.5 inches in diameter. Which is fine for most 5.56 suppressors, but many 7.62 suppressors a...

complete waste of money
I thought since these were so much more than expensive than the alternatives that it would be much better. First these are loose and do not stay on at all, Tactical or Hunting uses you have to constantly slide back on no real way to tighten and the two parts are always separating as if that is bad e...

Overpriced and inconsistent sizing.
I actually purchased mine directly from the manufacturer’s website because the size I needed wasn’t available here, and that ended up being my first mistake. I followed Burn Proof Gear’s sizing recommendations for my HuxWrx flow-through suppressor and the cover still ended up being the wrong fit. It partially blocks the vent holes at the end of the can which defeats the purpose of running a flow-through design in the first place. And causes damage to the suppressor cover.
Another issue is what feels like nickel and diming. In their own install video they show the installer using two internal fiberglass sleeves but the “Heavy” version only comes with one. So after already spending over $200 on what is essentially a fabric cover, they expect you to spend another $10 just to match their own recommended setup. That’s pretty insulting at this price point.
As for performance, it’s underwhelming. I typically run 300–500 rounds per session and after about three mags of steady fire the suppressor is still way too hot to touch. The cover was literally smoking. It does help reduce mirage but so do much cheaper options. There’s nothing here that justifies the premium price.
Durability it yet to be determined but the construction is fine but that’s kind of the bare minimum you’d expect at this cost. A lot of other reviews mention the same things: fitment inconsistencies, overpriced add ons, and performance that doesn’t match the marketing.

Works as intended
Just got my first suppressor a few months back and I wanted to get a cover for it so I didn’t accidentally burn myself or melt any nearby surface I laid it on. The only thing I’d dock this for is the smell that comes from it. If you do a high volume of fire you’ll start getting some smoke and you can smell what I’m assuming is the fiberglass sleeve underneath. It’s not melting onto the can as I was able to easily take it off and put it back on so I don’t know what the deal is there. Oh yeah and there is no need to cut the sleeve to fit for size. I ended up cutting it before even sliding it on the can and I ended up making it too short so I had to order another sleeve that you do have to cut for size. Also, make sure you have it wrapped tight. It is possible for it to slide off when there is a lot of heat.

Warmth is good!!!
I fired my suppressor and after 30 rounds it was untouchable due to the heat. After research and recommendations from friends, bought this suppressor cover. It's amazing how great it works. Put 160 rounds through it over a period of 30 min and it was only warm to the touch. Not only does it look awesome, it does as advertised. Warmth is good.
Pros:
- Tremendously Reduces heat
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- suppressor addition

received a replacement. still love it
Purchased the cover for a Saker 556k. It was the “Heavy” cover. Took it to the range and within manufactures guidelines (to maintain warranty), the cover itself charred and smoked. The inner heatshield did not fail. Optics planet has been great. Accepted the return and bought another. It really does help with heat mirage, and makes the can handleable.
Pros:
- works
Cons:
- Expensive
