This is my first Burris XTR Second Focal Plane scope. The others were first focal plane. When shooting small targets at long range, the fine crosshairs are very nice. An 8½ x 11 sheet of paper in portrait mode fits nicely in the 1 MOA box in the center of the reticle. The turrets have distinct clicks. The parallax (focus) control works very well. The glass is not as clear as the FFP scopes, but it is still very good.
Pros:
  • Great price. Good glass. Fine reticle.
Cons:
  • The glass is not as good as the Burris FFP XTR scopes.
Best Used for:
  • Very long range shooting.
