rambie's Review of Burris AR-Tripler Rifle Scope w/ AR Pivot Ring
I didn't want to spend a fortune on a magnifier with flip to side mount and thought this might be a good choice as I was disappointed by the cheaper alternatives.
Probably no more than 2" eye relief on AR with generic red dot. Relatively narrow window of "right" eye relief.
The flip-to-side mount seems to work well. The adjustments actually work and the unit will re-mount reliably and securely and not come off inadvertently.
I found using at the range it's perfectly acceptable. However, when hunting at dawn/dusk, it was too dark to see thru in the low light of dawn and frankly cumbersome as the eye relief made it slow to get a good sight picture.
I flipped it out of the way and could see the deer much better, but since it was 100 yds away, I didn't take the shot. During daylight, I flipped the magnifier back and was able to hit a orange I put out at 80 yds.
