Great product, outstanding warranty service by Burris
The BTS 35 is a great bang for your buck thermal with plenty of features and clarity out several hundred yards and beyond. I’ve owned other thermal optics at much higher price points and this model is every bit as good, and the palette options may make it better. Perfectly suited for the type of hog...

I bought the BTS 50 a while back. I think this is a decent thermal. As long as you spend a little time getting familiar with all the features, i think it will serve you well. Just know what it is and what it isn't.
Also, Burris is dipping their toe in the water with these. These are their first th...

Burris BT-35
For the price the scope works very well. Only drawback I have found is the battery cap has to be aligned perfectly and with the correct amount of down pressure to start threads. Feels very easy to cross thread. The battery life far exceeded advertised , think I was getting about 5 hours of continuous use on a recent hunt.
Pros:
- 1800
Cons:
- None

Needs improvement to keep the Burris stander
The battery cap is fine thread aluminum which is supper easy to cross thread especially when you have to change the battery out every 2 hours. The battery won’t fit if it has a male end on the positive side so good luck finding a replacement battery. You can buy 123 battery’s for $40 a 8 pack and those will only last 30 mins per 2 battery’s. As far as the image quality, that’s great if the scope will stay on and work for ya.

LOVE IT. GREAT PREDATOR FOR CONTROL
Love this scope started great .3rd time i used it i had an issue with clarity. As with any scope ( let it adjust to outside temps before use)
Theres no video on this but im no youtuber so it wasnt what i needed. Coyotes , bobcats and other predators are easy to distinguish from mine or my nieghbors dogs. Called Scott S at optics planet and has me takencare of . Optics planet has Awsome customer service. Will update my review once the new one arrives.

Pros:
- Great clarity , great range, super easy to sight in. Easy mounting . Easy screen adjustments.

Appears great, but...
This is the only thermal scope I have owned. Hence my review is limited by that fact. The scope was exceedingly easy to get ready. Battery installation and powering up was exactly as described in the instruction manual. But, when I attempted to look at deer in a snow covered field I couldn't focus the images. I emailed Burris and promptly received a reply the there are two focus rings. Although the instructions show those, it was not made clear that both need movement. In fact, the rear focus adjusted the menu as seen on screen whereas the front largely took care of the image. I also noticed holding the scope freehand, not mounted to a rifle, presented more focus issues that when mounted. I suspect this is due to the image refresh rate. At 20°F the focus rings were exceedingly difficult to rotate. Burris informed me that the grease on the rings will make rotation difficult in cold weather. Burris gave me two sites to find aftermarket levers to attach to the rings. Whilst helpful I'd rather that Burris had the levers on the scope. I also attempted to video record. Either Burris or Opticplanet included a video cable that fit the scope but had a 2.5mm pin to RCA video/audio male connection. So I had to order an adapter. Clearly that cable is not current as it would not connect to a laptop or phone. I have not sighted this to the rifle so I cannot comment on its zeroing. Once I resolved the focus and mounted it I was able to identify deer and similar sized cr...

Great Thermal at a Great Price!
You'll be hard-pressed to find a thermal cheaper than this. It is also very versatile. I zeroed using hot water bottles and a spotter on a dirt driveway. This scope alerts you of "hot spots" and it's good at bringing your attention to something. I thought I would like the picture-in-picture, but not so much (personal preference). It will pick up a critter way out past 200 yards easily. You might not get great detail of exactly what it is until it comes in closer. I used zoom to ID it before it came in closer. I zoomed in a little for the shot, because it was small. Dead-on. The battery can go in either direction, which is great in the dark-just take your time to thread it in correctly. It's spring-loaded, don't rush it, DON'T force it! You can adjust the color pallet to whatever fits your desire, along with the reticle pattern and color. It has an output for audio/video if you want to add it. I scan the pastures behind me and can see the cows off in the distance. I can see the rabbits hopping through the fields. I can see the coyotes crossing my driveway 300 yards away. I've followed coyotes through the woods, and even a ticked-off squirrel through the treetops at dusk. The battery lasts a couple of hours and is rechargeable. I got a couple of spares and keep them charged, so it's not an issue. I got a great deal and picked this up on a Black-Friday and am super happy with it! I'm using it on a Tavor and it's balanced nicely. I don't have a tripod, I walk and stalk or sit on ...

Scope died after 30 days
I bought 2 units in November of 2022 from different vendors. The scopes at first appeared to be a nice setup for the money. Me and the wife went on a hunting trip about a week of having the units. During the hunting trip the scopes worked fine. I put the scopes away in hard gun cases and came home. About a week later we went hunting on our property and one scope would not power on. I tried 5 different batteries and no go it was dead. That was in the early part of December, I went through the RMA process and sent the scope back. Looking at the warranty page it says 2 to 3 weeks turn around time, I am now on Week 6 and all the warranty claims page says is processing. I was very disappointed in the scope lasting about a month and used for 3 hunts. I hear about how great the service department is at Burris but I am not impressed so far. I am concerned about my other unit having a problem. I can’t recommend this scope as of now. I’ll have to update the review after getting the unit back. I would save up and go with Pulsar or something similar.
Best Used for:
- Hog and deer

A swing and a miss
I’ve read quite a few good reviews on this but my experience was the opposite. To start off it does come with a nice storage box, the zoom dial is nice and it’s an aluminum body. Those are the only pros to me. When I turned the scope on to compare it to my rattler the screen was so blurry you couldn’t make out anything. Adjusted all setting and reset it but no difference, it was not useable at all. My other cons are the base is not QD mount, it’s very heavy compared to the rattler and you can’t change the screen color without going into the settings. My advice is to spend a little extra and get an AGM
Pros:
- Aluminum body
- Zoom dial
- Storage box
Cons:
- Heavy
- No QD mount

BTS 35 Has Everything You Need
The BTS 35 has everything you need to get started in Thermal hunting and then some. The scope has great close range field of view and zoom options or picture-in-picture for distance shooting/target ID. Overall it’s a great product and thousands less than many other options on the market.
Pros:
- Quality, ease of use, includes mount, great optic resolution
Cons:
- None. Does not have a lot of extra features as expected for this price range.
Best Used for:
- High end optic at a great price!
