Most Helpful Positive Review Affordable, clear and light
Works great on my AR in 350 legend. No complaints. Price is right. It was between this and the Crimson Trace for me, both made in the Philippines. This was cheaper. The only thing that would make it better would be an illuminated reticle.
Most Helpful Negative Review Blurry at 100 yards
I love my Burris scope but this one seams to be blurry out at 100 yards. I don't know why I adjust it and it don't seam to come out. Anything under 100 yards seams to be good

Best bang for the buck (pun intended)

by Jim, Verified Owner from OH, United States Written on August 16, 2025
Following issues with a Burris Fullfield IV on a Mossberg Patriot in 350 Legend, I mounted the E1 350 legend and was able to (finally) sight in at 100 yards. I have E1’s on at least 4 rifles and 2 muzzleloaders, and find them reliable and a great glass for the money.
Pros:
  • clairity, feel, warranty
Cons:
  • None

Accurate and Clear

by Billy Y, Verified Owner from WI, United States Written on April 9, 2025
This was my second choice after I was unable to get a Crossfire II Straightwall from OP for months.
Took it out to the range, zeroed in at 100yds and was pleased with the results. I got about 1.5 moa but I'm sure I could get it down to 1 if I was more patient. Eye relief is good and glass is clear. It fit my 1" Vortex scope rings and apparently is 3oz lighter than the Crossfire. Do not hesitate buy this.

No Brainer

by Chris S, from NC, United States Written on December 28, 2024
Ok, so you went and got a nice 350 legend, and you need some glass to make it functional for now. If you are working on a budget but you don't want to cheap out on your nice new rifle, install a Burris- any level. I have a new 350 legend and I needed to get to the range in a hurry. This scope was a no brainer....I did look at the CT in the same price range, all the way to the Leopold at 299. I liked the drop downs and I have other Burris products and they all have Forever Warranty. Glass is crystal clear, eye relief is generous as well as the eye box. This model lacks illumination but I don't hunt at night yet, it's perfect for a day in the woods or the range. I haven't tried the dropdowns yet, but I assume they will work as designed. I will gladly report back if I discover any failures. For now, I couldn't be happier for my 100$ scope. They spend the money on the scope, not flip caps, or cheap rings, so be sure to pick out some solid mounting options at least.

Best high value scope (under $200)

by zmad5306, Verified Owner from OH, United States Written on December 12, 2023
I have 3 of these E1's now, 2 in 350 Legend and 1 in muzzleloader. 350 legend sub-tensions in the scope are about spot on. The etched reticle is really nice and I believe leads to higher durability. These E1's are my favorite sub $200 hunting scope. This is a high value scope, you get a lot for the money.

I a few minor annoyances/issues with them:

-Parallax is fixed at 50 yards, so the target is slightly blurry at 100, would have been better set at 100 or even 150. This really isn't an issue for hunting though.
-Low light performance could be better, very difficult to see anything in the last 5 to 7 minutes of shooting light.
-Zeroing out the turrets after zeroing the scope is really difficult without accidently turning the turrets and messing up your zero. This probably isn't an issue for most folks, but I do like to zero the elevation turrets so I can make vertical adjustments for different loads.
-The zoom ring is really stiff and hard to turn when cold.

I don't think there is a better 3-9x40 in the $150 range. Which is nice when you have several rifles to outfit with optics. I like it well enough that I plan to buy another Muzzleloader version for my old Knight which has a defective scope on it now.
Pros:
  • Price
  • light weight
  • Looks nice
  • etched reticle
  • BDC
Cons:
  • Low light performance
  • Setting the dials to zero after zeroing is difficult without turning turrets
  • Parallax is fixed at 50 yards, 100 or even 150 would have been better
  • zoom ring is hard to turn when cold
Best Used for:
  • hunting
