Most Helpful Positive Review Great value
For the money, this scope is hard to beat. The scope is extremely clear and eye relief is great. Highly recommended for any muzzleloader. I use mine on a CVA accura mr-x. It is a great combination for real world hunting use. Deadly for sure.

Quality Scope

by Mike D., from WI, United States Written on January 1, 2025
Received this in the mail a few weeks ago from Optics Planet. Bought it as an upgrade for my in-line muzzle loader. Fast shipping, easy to tracking. Quality of Burris scope appears spot on for the money! Looking forward to having it mounted and ready for next season.

Burris 3 X 9 Muzzloader Fullfield

by Shane Kekso, Verified Owner from CO, United States Written on August 15, 2024
This a an adequate muzzleloader scope and a good price from OpticsPlanet. I have several Burris Scopes and they don't dissappoint.

I do not think much more is needed on a Muzzleloader Scope.

Cryatal clear view but reticle is lacking

by CJP, from NE, United States Written on January 17, 2024
The view on it is amazing but the BDC dots on the reticle are so small they are more or less non existant and very hard to see even on a bright sunny day I can only imagine last light and that stud buck walks out and you cant see the BDC dots to make the shot.
Pros:
  • Clear view very crisp
Cons:
  • Hard to use reticle
Best Used for:
  • Muzzloader

Best sub $200 muzzleloader scope

by zmad5306, Verified Owner from OH, United States Written on December 12, 2023
I have 3 of these E1's now, 2 in 350 Legend and this one. I put this on a CVA Wolf V2. Scope holds zero well and I was able to get sub 1 inch groups at 100 yards. The etched reticle is really nice and I believe leads to higher durability. These E1's are my favorite sub $200 hunting scope. This is a high value scope, you get a lot for the money.

I a few minor annoyances/issues with them:

-Parallax is fixed at 50 yards, so the target is slightly blurry at 100, would have been better set at 100 or even 150. This really isn't an issue for hunting though.
-Low light performance could be better, very difficult to see anything in the last 5 to 7 minutes of shooting light.
-Zeroing out the turrets after zeroing the scope is really difficult without accidently turning the turrets and messing up your zero. This probably isn't an issue for most folks, but I do like to zero the elevation turrets so I can make vertical adjustments for different loads.
-The zoom ring is really stiff and hard to turn when cold.

I don't think there is a better 3-9x40 in the $150 range. Which is nice when you have several rifles to outfit with optics. I like it well enough that I plan to buy another Muzzleloader version for my old Knight which has a defective scope on it now.
Pros:
  • Price
  • light weight
  • Looks nice
  • etched reticle
  • BDC
Cons:
  • Low light performance
  • Setting the dials to zero after zeroing is difficult without turning turrets
  • Parallax is fixed at 50 yards, 100 or even 150 would have been better
  • zoom ring is hard to turn when cold
Best Used for:
  • hunting

Met my expectations!

by Atkison, from MO, United States Written on January 1, 2021
I purchased this scope from optics planet and mounted it on a Thompson Center Impact 50 cal muzzleloader. It functions perfectly and holds zero as it should. The glass is very good quality for a scope of this price range. No complaints, got a great price on it as well!
