Best Scope dollar for dollar!
I did a lot of research on scopes for long range precision shooting and honestly I didn't even consider Burris at first. I was looking at some of their competitors that start off at several hundred dollars more and would have cost at least twice if not three times as much to get the same features su...

Basic scope NOT all that
I bought this scope after reading multiple reviews regarding its quality. Well, to say the least I am disappointed. I fully understand FFP scopes and have more than a few. The glass on this scope is not clear at all. The resolution is not good. It is not easy to focus, the eye box (eye relief)is ver...

Good entry level FFP
If glass was better quality I would have given 5 stars. The craftsmanship is well done and the scope tracked and adjusted throughout the rough zero. For entry level FFP this will be a solid purchase. If your used to HD glass and want crisp vis at distance pass up this scope and pay the extra thousand on a better option. The illuminated feature works okay in low light. I bring this up because my Night Force illumination is visible in lighter conditions. Actually thought it was broken until I had cap down and it was on. So quick recap great price well built FFP glass not as crisp and illuminating function suspect.

Decent Scope but Dated Glass
I really wanted to like this scope. Just the right magnification range for my 338 LM. There isn’t really anything to complain about with the scope; turrets, eye relief/eye box, fit and finish, illumination, all are exceptional. The problem is the glass. Beyond 20x the glass is VERY milky, combine this with a little bit of sun in your face and it’s complete white out. I suppose if you were just punching paper and needed a budget setup this would do the trick very well but I needed much more clarity and a resolution on the top end.

Great quality for cost
This scope has clear glass and seems to be well build. Haven’t tested it enough to assess longevity, but I feel it will hold up

Burris XTR II 5x25x50 34mm
This is the second 5x25 I have ordered. Fit and finish are exceptional. Great clarity up to 25x, tracking is true out to 750yds (as far as I have taken it) Side focus is quick. All adjustments are clearly marked. Power adjustment ring is stiff. I added a lever. Illumination is highly adjustable . Zero stop is easily set. Overall highly satisfied with quality and price. Recommend and will buy again.

Best Bang for the Buck
This is now my 3rd Burris XTR2 scope in the 5x25 power. My first one I bought at full retail price when the XTR2's first came out many many years ago. The last two I got recently now that they have been on sale. All of these scopes are built like tanks, yes they are very heavy but you definitely dont have to worry if you bang then around a few times. They hold Zero very well, track well and work in all conditions I have used them in from Snowy mountains at 20 degrees F to southen california desert temps in the summer when it's 119 degress F. They definitely live up to their reputation for the most part. My only Con I can say is that when you zoom in they are only crystal clear up to 15 even 18 power after that they get blurry and Hazy, However with the currently sale price this scope will blow anything away in that price point or even any scope around the $1000 dollar mark. I have A Vortex PST and a strike eagle in the same power and I still go for my Burris first especially if I know I am going to be rough on my gear that day or week.
Pros:
- Dependable
- amazing warranty and customer service
- built like a tank, almost indestructable
- Price point and quality
Cons:
- blurry after 15x or 18x depending on time of day
Best Used for:
- competition
- Long range shots that count

On target great optic
I first purchased a more expensive optic and quickly realized at low magnification I could barely see the crosshairs, it was non-illuminated. I got my first Burris optic in 1984 I’ve owned several since. I saw the this extreme tactical and thought I’d give it a try, I could be happier this is an absolutely incredible optic. I have it mounted on a Remington 700 tactical rifle with a Q Thunder Chicken it’s incredibly accurate crystal clear great illumination if you need it! Highly recommend. I just purchased a second one.
Best Used for:
- Hunting, target and tactical

Burris XTR Extream Tactical II 5-25x50 34mm tube ffp
I have 2 of these now, Optics planet has a great deal on them, 2 years ago these scopes were selling for $1300+ but with these on sale around $600 is a great deal, you will not find a better, or as good for around that price, if you want to spend more in the $1k to $1200 range you can start to find some better optics. but you can get two of these for the same price as on $1200 scope. I would defiantly buy again, and probably will.
Pros:
- GREAT PRICE
- well made
Cons:
- not as good as glass as a $2000 scope
Best Used for:
- Target shooting
Would recommend: Yes
