Most Helpful Positive Review Well worth the sale price I paid.
This is my first red dot, so take this with a grain of salt. I was nervous getting this because I have been told that you need to spend over a $150 to get a red dot that works. I got this one for under $50. Took an hour to sight in, but once it was on dialed in it worked admirably.
Most Helpful Negative Review Red dot doesn't work after shooting and can't sight in
The red dot doesn't work on some settings after firing. The red dot would not appear at all. The sight also was defective when attempting to sight in. The sight was 1 foot high at the lowest elevation setting.

Not my first bushnell red dot

I put different rings on this Bushnell & mounted it on a Mossberg 835. I've hunted coyotes & deer using 3" 12 gauge 00 buckshot. The red dot has had no problem handling the recoil thru sighting in & hunting. I really like using a red dot on shotguns because I can move the point of aim for maximum effective shot pattern. My other Bushnell trophy red/green dot is mounted on a Winchester 1300 & selected the 3 moa dot for turkey hunting. I use 3" #5 shot 12 gauge Turkey loads in that shotgun. Neither Bushnell red dot have ever failed me, my turkey dot is now over 9 years old & used to harvest numerous turkeys. I'm allowed 3 turkey per season where I live. I can't say enough about using a green dot in early morning light is excellent.
Pros:
  • Excellent performance
Cons:
  • Absolutely none

  • hunting
