I have 2 of these scopes - the current HDMR II and its predecessor the regular HDMR. Clarity is good enough, and have successfully used it on steel a little past 1,000 yards. Yes, there are other scopes out on the market with better clarity, ED prime glass and all of that stuff and if you have the $2-3K to afford those then great - but for on the order of half the price, this optic serves just fine.

Great scope for the price. I've used it for beginner and intermediate precision shooting, several hog hunts and other fun shoots. Has held its zero despite rough handling. The Horus H59 reticle makes adjustments on the fly simple as long as you understand milrad, a good spotter helps. As a firearms instructor and hunting guide I feel comfortable letting srudents use it, they would have to try and break it. On a Ruger Precision with Badger Ordnance rings, harris bipod, with a Q Trashpanda Suppressor.

This is a great scope for the money. Wait until it's on sale and use a 10% off coupon and a Bushnell rebate and you can get it for around $1100. The glass is very clear especially at dusk. I would recommend it to anyone.

Outstanding glass and reticle...best quality for the money. Perfect for shooting steel/paper or prairie dogs. I have used from .22 sniper comp, spr 5.56 and 6.5 creedmoor...there is an illuminated version with a more hunting friendly reticle if that is your need. H59 reticle fulfills my intended use.
Pros:
- Power range, reticle and size
Best Used for:
- compeition
- And parairie dogs

Solid well built scope with many extras included. I shoot PRS long range and this scope is perfect. The elevation and windage adjustments are crisp and easy to use. Targets are crisp and clear with no distortion at longer ranges. The H59 reticle works perfectly hold overs and ranging targets if you so desire. Includes a sunshade and throw lever. Just add a good mounting and bang some steel!

Clear glass and no color distortion. Clicks feel good and it tracks true. Very good scope at this price point. I have two of these. Snag them when there is a rebate going on for an even better deal. I may get another on the next sale.

I recently purchased a Bushnell Elite Tactical HDMR II 3.5-21X50 H59 Riflescope from Optics Planet. The shipment arrived as scheduled without a hitch. The scope and mount arrived in the same package so I was able to get it mounted ASAP. This scope is a Beast. Took 3 shots to have it zeroed in at 100 yards. The H 59 reticle is an excellent platform for ranging targets quickly.
Thanks, Randy
Pros:
- Rapid Target aquisition at various ranges

$1000 cheaper than comparable Nightforce or Leupold. Knobs less bulky make it more practical for a dual purpose target/hunting rifle. Great optics. Only other H 59 reticle in this price range is Burris which is a bulkier scope with illumination which I wouldn’t use or want.

This is an excellent scope for the price, it has great clarity and turret adjustments are solid. After initial barrel break in I did a figure 8 test with all adjustments tracking and returning to zero. This scope is mounted on a 6mm creedmoor so I’m not worried about recoil shaking this thing apart but I think this scope would hold up to most anything you could put under it. All of my shots at this point have been at 300 yards or less but will push the range out very soon. So far I’m very satisfied with the purchase.
Pros:
- adjustments are crisp
- Glass is great
- turrets are solid
