Most Helpful Negative Review Bushnell Scout DX 1000 ARC 6x21 Laser Rangefinder
Range Finder does not work as advertised. Took to a range that had targets to 800 yards and would not range past 300. Conditions were clear and sunny. Would not range a water tower approximately at 400 yards regardless of mode. Letting the folks at Bushnell Lab Repair decide if I got a lemon or ...

Dual Purpose: Hunting and Golf

by Steve, from TX, United States Written on May 17, 2020
I’ve used the range finder for both hunting and for golf. I’ve used it for both rifle and bow hunting. It was similar in distances to other range finders. On the golf course, it’s probably not as accurate as a golf rangefinders that are designed to lock on the flag, but it does the job pretty well. There are multiple modes for distant target and first target. I personally haven’t needed the distant target as much in my use. Very good for product for the price.

It’s small and light

by Rusten, from TX, United States Written on June 7, 2018
It’s very compact which is nice. But it won’t range a feeder only two hundred yards away. I can’t tell any difference in performance in the three different settings. It’s good for anything inside 200 yards. Don’t get it if you are needing reliable reads outside of that. I wish I didn’t own it.
Pros:
  • Size
Cons:
  • function
Best Used for:
  • <200 yards

Wish it had 10 stars!

by Frank G, Verified Owner from TN, United States Written on July 23, 2017
Have been using a Bushnell ARC for the past 7 years............. still works great, but like anything lets add more to my hunting "goodies". It is truly amazing...... the 6X is perfect, crystal clear optics, the ARC for both bow and rifle are push button swap and quick to range. I don't believe I'll ever use the max range in my area, but did try it out on a navigation buoy on the lake (yes highly reflective) but indicated 880 yards to target. Not sure if it will range something in fur that far out but OK by me, my hunting area would be a max of 300 yards anyway, I know it will pick up the fur at that range all day long. OP is the best vendor on the net, I'm a customer for life.
Pros:
  • Everything about it.
Cons:
  • Zero, none, nada
Best Used for:
  • Bow or gun.

MD Archery

by AL, from MD, United States Written on September 18, 2016
This rangerfinder is very simple to use. I would definitely recommend this rangefinder.
I was a little concerned after reading some of the previous reviews. However I didn't feel that pushing a button to change a setting was that difficult. Another nice product from Bushnell.
Pros:
  • Fair price
  • Very accurate
  • Simple to use.
Cons:
  • At this point nothing.

Small waterproof Laser Rangefinder

by Gray, Verified Owner from Russian Federation Written on August 26, 2016
I have ordered Scout DX 1000 ARC 6x21 for air gun hunting, it has enough range to aim any small or big target, some times it takes a little more time to determine the distance, depends on object material or ambient conditions (read manual). To determine long distance you must keep Rangefinder more stable. Generally this high quality product also has waterproof design, resin cover for good grip, clear vision (not for night usage) you can use it just to have small monocular in your pocket.

Functional as it should be

by Yui, from Bangkok, Thailand Written on May 5, 2016
I'm living in Thailand. And ever bought many products from opticsplanet.
Goods come with good condition in well packing, suitable for international shipping.
I did function test of DX1000 and it work as it should be. Like other reviewers, this product is work well as everybody said.
I didn't have a chance to use it in the field yet. Might come back to update review again if it has already done.

very pleased

by talltexan, from TX, United States Written on September 26, 2015
This is my first range finder to purchase. I have used one before but this one beats the other I borrowed and a lot cheaper. The digital readout and distance is very easy to see and read. This range finder gives you all the information most shooters will need

Bushnell Rangefinder

by Al, from SD, United States Written on August 26, 2015
Received this item in super quick order. Read the instructions, which were easy to follow, and proceeded to try them out. After a little experimenting, it was quite easy to locate and gauge the distance. I did need to use the Bushnell website to figure out the setting for a 338 caliber drop but that too was not a difficult chore. This rangefinder is light and compact so as not to be in the way or hard to handle. I believe that I will get many years of use out of this rangefinder.
Best Used for:
  • hunting and target shooting

Great Rangefinder

by Coffeebreak, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on April 4, 2015
Light and compact. Nice bright display. Works as described. Have only used it on two hunts so far. Is very pleased with the product. Previous rangefinder was also a Bushnell which gave many years of good service. It was a horizontal hold. This rangefinder is a vertical hold which I am very pleased with.
