Most Helpful Positive Review Very nice spotting scope for the price.
I shopped around for a spotting scope in the 15X45 power range and found that this scope was well received by recreational shooters. Optics Planet had the best on-line price so I took a chance. I am very pleased with this scope, the optics are clear, focus adjustment fine, size/weight good, excellen...

Most Helpful Negative Review Bushnell Trophy Xtreme Porro Prism Spotting Scopes w/Hardcase
The tripod and connecting hardware is very light which allows the unit to shake with the slightest wind or while making the smallest adjustment... The scope was difficult to return to the internal soft zipper bag..

Mostly will be used for 100 yards and in. Worked well enough. Darker background targets made it tough for 223 but otherwise worked fine. Nice package for the money soft and hard case tripod included. Got it on special would recommend for use like mine.
Pros:
  • Complete package out of the box
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • 100 + yards IMO

The scope is only as good as the user.

by oldeyesfiftyseven, from MN, United States Written on February 21, 2022
I am impressed. I am able to achieve focused clarity at 60x magnification using the tripod and focus adjustment, with both eyes. The scope is surprisingly light so it may be less steady in high winds. The lightness is a positive if you want to pack it into the back country. I would buy again as the price point is very competitive and the free hardcase and tripod are a bonus as it it worth the money even without those items.
Pros:
  • leight-weight
  • Lightweight and price
Cons:
  • not steady in high winds
Best Used for:
  • Tripod/mounted use. Aviation drop in back country. Recon. Shooting Range to 250yds

Ok for Gun Range

by Chad Abell, from LA, United States Written on January 3, 2022
I purchased this scope for use at the gun range. It is adequate for seeing bullet holes at 100 yards but became difficult at longer distances. Image is a bit blurry. For the price, it is adequate for what I needed it to do. Also, it was noted in other reviews that the tripod it came with was not stable. I did find this to be true as well.
Pros:
  • value for $$
Cons:
  • Blurry
  • Unstable tripod
Best Used for:
  • Range

Nice spotting scope for the price

by BN, from NY, United States Written on August 15, 2021
A nice spotting scope for the price. Good clarity even at max 60x power. At 60x, more than sufficient to see .308 holes in paper at 200 yards. Focus knob is smooth. Nice carry bag and hard sided case. The provided small tripod, while seeming sturdy enough, allows some movement in the mounting area, so can be unstable at higher magnification if the scope is touched at all. I use a higher quality, full size tripod instead.
Pros:
  • Price
  • Clarity
  • Case
  • Magnification
  • smooth focus
Cons:
  • Unstable tripod
Best Used for:
  • hunting
  • shooting

Great value

by Tomcatvf51, from PA, United States Written on February 2, 2020
Performs as advertised. Currently using for targets at 50-200 yards. Tripod that comes with the scope works great on a table, holding the scope steady. Target comes in crystal clear. The case is heavy duty and protects the scope well. Great value for the money spent.

Just what expected from Bushnell

by Dennis, from FL, United States Written on September 7, 2019
Many, many years ago I purchased a pair of Bushnell Legend binoculars and was amazed at the clarity, brightness, the waterproof ability, and virtually everything about them. I could view for the longest stretches without my eyes getting tired. They were and are a joy to view out of.
Recently, I was interested in a spotting scope to take to the range so of course when I noticed the Bushnell the first thing that popped in my mind was quality and the beautiful, perfect optics. I knew the importance of Bushnell lens coatings, clarity and just plain super quality construction. Too me it was a no brainier decision. So I purchased them and they have the clarity that Bushnell is known for! I couldn’t be happier.
I set it up in my driveway to test and was surprised I could see the minor scratches on the stop sign about 100 yards away. Impressive !
I purchased the Bushnell and couldn’t be happier. I would encourage Bushnell to anyone interested in quality optics.
Pros:
  • High quality optics
  • High quality optics, waterproof, super value
Cons:
  • I bought a separate tripod because the addition height naturally gives it more stability in case I bump it.
Best Used for:
  • Anything you need to see clearly at a distance
